Ok i need some help fixing my cd drive. After I rebooted my laptop the drive stopped working. I tried to clear it out but that didnt work. I tried to take out the drive, but i don't know how. If u can help me out that would be cool, but if u cant then no more battle.net for me and thats a bad thing. Then the only game I can play is Ragnarok its an ok game but not good for noobs.

i recommend calling the computer support they will give you the better advice on what you need to do to fix your cd drive, but most of the time you just need to unscrew a couple of screws to get at it. Also i recommend getting an air can and spray inside as well.
Can you be more specific how your DVD drive stopped working?Did it altogether die?Not powering up?Or it powers up,reads the CD,but does not recognize it?
If it powers up,but doesn't recognize CD's,than it's most likely that lense has gotten dirty,and you should use aircan to spray it out,or get someone to clean it for you.Or,maybe your IDE cable is loose,and your computer doesn't properly understand your drive,and hence,doesn't recognize CD's
If it in fact died,and is not powering up.Maybe you have a loos power cable,or your drive just simply gave up life.

Simply flip your notebook upside down, you will see a small screw at the CD-Drive bay. Usually its only 1 screw..
Unscrew it then flip it back to the normal position.. At the side, facing the CD-drive you will find a rectangular button/clip. Press it to eject your drive out of the bay..
i installed FF3 (which works great) on my flash drive for testing perposes (web desighning). anyways
yesterday at school since i had time i went to the library to use it but i realise that my history
and bookmarks where not saved on the flash even though i imported (duh i know they're on my hard
drive). i'd like to know how can i put my history and favorites (or at least my favorites) on
my flash drive and how to make sure that the browser knows that and that's what it uses not the

One is Labeled Departure and the other is labeled Destination. The boxes contain various states in

Source Seriously, this is innovative. I can't wait for them to produce these...though you know
the sellers are gonna jack the hell out of the price. In any case, I can only wonder what this will
mean for desk top and laptop computers. I mean if they can fit a terabyte in a thumb drive with this
technology, think of how much they can fit into a normal comp. Think of how much music that would

I just bought that disk (seagate SATA 500G) half year ago and found it stop working randomly,
resulting the whole system to be dead. BTW, I am using Win XP. I tried to use seatool, provied by
seagate, to scan and repair the error, the program stop at the half of the process. I even can't
format entirely, just do quick format. I don't know what I can do and have been pissed off for a
few days. hope some people have this kind of experience and give me any idea. I don't want to

I am now running on Windows XP. I'm confused whether to use and install Windows Updates or not.
My friends and some local IT support said that I do not need them. But many tech site suggests them
to be installed. Here is my situation : I only use this PC to browse internet, download files,
using P2P software, play games and other activity that doesn't require internet. I never use
wireless internet, my PC is not linked to another PC (workgroup). Do I really need Windows Update at
all? Untill now, I never experienced any crash or something without those updates. ....
i have a old dvd burner that is very reliable. the only problem that i have is the eject button on
that thing is a little busted. i know you can right click to eject it but how can i return it(after
you put a cd you press that thing to let the cd go inside) it is an old one and you push the cd
holder like the other one i have. my question is, is there a way to program it or such. because one
burner program has an option like this and it works. but the program isnt free.....
I was hoping some linux tech heads here could give me some pointers about installing linux onto a
laptop I have which has no cd drive. To make things worse it does not even boot from usb. I had
installed XP on it with an unattended install using the /makelocalsource switch which copies files
to the local hdd then finishes setup from there after reboot. Is there an easy switch function to
install any linux distro once you have the files on your hdd? (I have a mapped network drive to my
laptop and sharing from my desktop so i can access my files. I just don't know if....

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram with the Big Horn Package I have a lot of the horns and whisles with it. I
dont use it for plowing or work basically a family vrhical. I have the V8 Hemi engine in it with the
automatic 4 wheel locking drive dial. It has a six speed trans and 20 inch wheels and plenty of
crome. For a 4 wheels dirve it rides prety good not like the ols style 4 wheelers I use to ride in.
The gas milage also is not bad instead of like 8 to 10 miles per gallon I get like 18 to 19 mi per
gallon. Need less to say I have had some problems already basically warenty work b....
One of my friends dropped her Dell Inspiron 1501 and the computer now won't boot. On inspection,
the computer takes a long time to finish POST, then displays that it's loading Broadcom drivers,
Intel drivers, and then it displays: No OS detected. Check PXE ribbon . So I restart, check out
the BIOS, and it shows me that the computer isn't even seeing the hard drive. (I'm
personally used to a computer telling me that it can't find bootable media in this case, but I
guess newer computers, or just Dell, now tells you that an OS isn't being detected....

Ok, so I got my aunt's old Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop. She also gave me a wireless card with it,

Hi, my website was created with Frontpage 2003. At screen resolution 1024 * 768. Now the problem
that I am finding is people with a screen resol. 800 * 600 see the table and everything in the wrong
place and its all messed up. Is there a way to make it so the site is compatiable with all screen

I have a USB 2.0 'enclosure' for 2.5" HDD with a 30GB Fujitsu MHT2030AT HDD. When I plug
it into a system with USB 1.1 ports only, although the Mass Storage Device and the Fujitsu MHT2030AT
USB Device appears in Device Manager, there is no extra Disk added to Disk Manager (so I can't
partition/format it). The same arrangement on the same PC running Linux works fine (though, as
expected, it runs at USB 1.1 speed) I am running Windows XP (SP1+) with ALL of the latest patches.

First of all, it is important that you make sure the image you wish to export is on a transparent
layer. The transparent layer is a checkered background in photoshop. You can see this checkered
background in the image to the left. In this example, I created a quick glass icon which has
different levels of transparency. This is the image I will be exporting, whilst preserving
it's transparency. Once your image is on a transparent background, head to file > save for

Hi there! I recently re-installed windows on my 250 gb WD SATA hard drive. I had a 50 gb
windows partition and the rest for files. First thing that happened was my system partition
wouldn't boot and eventually chkdsk said that the mbr was unrecoverable. A friend recommended
that i use a seperate parallel hard drive to load windows and then convert the disk to dynamic in
disk management. I did this, but the computer crashed and now windows won't even load with the
