Someone could be downloading files from your webhost that you might not take notice. It does not really mean they need to go to your website first before downloading. They can hotlink from other sites directly to the file source. Probably also, you might be hosting large files which takes alot more bandwidth. You may however, if you would like, block these IP address from downloading from your webhost again in your cpanel. Only do this if you think the IP is static and it is always leaching bandwidth...

Use AWSTATS and WEBALIZER in your stats section and it will show you the files which has been accessed the most. That should give you the idea.

I just checking it. i can not found the ip address.but i just know that my index.php is the most file downloaded. so i just ask some friends,i think there would be a guy refreshing my page by some tool on aug,14.he runs my 900M bandwidth.

I am not sure of what kind of website you are using...there can be a possibility that some one might be HOTLINKING some of the graphics on your website and thus wasting you BANDWIDTH..if that is the case then you must use .htaccess to stop that as someone might be STEALING your bandwidth!

Yes, as the fellow said be careful with hotlink, someone can be profiting about your pictures or other stuff. Block their Ips and maybe add a watermark to your pictures. That would persaude some people, not to steal your bandwidth.

that's sure confirmed.i just add watermark on my pictures and there is not so many pictures on my site just 20--30 pics i think. my site is usual site..:^^

Is it possible that someone's trying to sabotage your website? I know this site http://www.netdisaster.com/index.html where you type in your whatever the site and it eats up the bandwidth. In the world of free hostings and limited bandwidths, this is a sure way to destroy a certain site by causing to use the maximum bandwidth allowed... it's pretty sad that people like to destroy other's creation. lol the WAR is within us! Their IP is 212.27.35.89 not that it matters since it does not show up on your IP logs. But our cPanel has IP block tool. If you see a multiple IP using up bandwidths (I'm not sure how we can track this) you can block that IP.

How To Attract Traffic To (new & Empty) Software Forums
(1) Hey guys, what's the best way to get more traffic at my new software forums? They are pretty
empty as they have just been added (Aug 17th, 2006) to my already established software download

Bandwidth
bandwidth meter update..lag? (6) When i check my bandwidth meter each day, it says zero. Then some days it automatically jumps up to
500megs and then after another week to 700 megs and so on. Why doesn't it update as I go. I
never know how much bandwidth I've used. (is there a way we can upgrade our bandwidth?)....

Sudden surge in bandwidth usage (13) Hi: I am looking at my stats today, and I see a sudden surge in my bandwidth usage. I am
concerned, because I have used over a third of the monthly alottment. It seems like something
whacky is going on, but I don't know what to do. The number of unique visits has not
dramatically increased. However, the number of page views is abnormally high. Way too high and out
of porportion for the number of unique visits. For example, on October 3 I had 28,193 page views.

Loading Speed
Related to bandwidth? (1) I'm just wondering how bandwidth of my package is related to the loading time of my site? I am
around the 300+ MB mark out of my 5GB allocated bandwidth, and I noticed that recently my site has
started to lag really badly in load time. Wondering if it's got anything to do with the amount
of bandwidth I'm using, although I'm not even halfway to using it up. Should I be expecting
the loading speed to slow down as more bandwidth is used? And if I should, is it normal for it to
lag so badly at just the 300MB mark? Just wondering.....

Hm? (9) I was supposed to have 1GB of bandwidth, when I went to sleep, I remember just logging out of my
cPanel and having consumed ~30MBs. Which isn't even 3% of my total allowed bandwidth. So, did
someone find out my FTP password and purposely take down my site, or someone abused the upload
feature on the forum and uploaded it to death? (mind you, there was a 2MB upload limit for all
accounts, and only 30MBs of the total account space was allocated for uploads. Therefore, someone
had to have made 500 accounts and uploaded around 966.66 MBs worth of files in order to do tha....

errors ? (2) Did any1 notice that the bandwidth usage on the frontpage of cpanel is actually DOUBLE the
bandwidth that u had actually used? U can go to section under bandwidth and see ur bandwidth usage.
For mine it stated that i've used 199.56 Meg but looking at the details it only total up to
99.78 Meg. But looking at the AWStats (updated) .. it stated that i;ve only use 77 Meg (including
traffic viewed + not viewed ) I need some advise about this .. because i think if i've used 200
mb for only day 4 of the month ... then im going to run out of bandwidth very soon....
