Replying to heavensoundswhy are you making fun of harry its wrong and he is dead cute so take that and he is in no way evil I agree with that and I s flear decour in the seventh I havent bought it yet but ive read 1-6
Not in the world, but in the series. Here is my synopsis:
Oh yeah, it's kinda spoiler intensive, so if you have not yet read the books, you might not want to continue reading.
Hmm, wonder if this board has spoiler tags?
Book 1. Killed a teacher at the the school he attended.
Arguments against: He was preventing the capture of the stone, and He was a dark wizard anyway.
Arguments for: If Harry did not persue the stone in the first place, it would not have needed prevent the capture!
Even if the enemy you are killing is evil, they should be held alive for questioning.
Book 4: Killed Cedric.
Arguments against: Harry did not kill Cedric, Voldemort killed Cedric.
Arguments for: Harry insisted Cedric on touching the cup with him, which led to Cedrics ultimate death. If Harry had taken the cup himself, Cedric, though losing the game, would have preserved his life.
Book 5: Killed his own godfather, Sirius Black, through ignoring superiors.
Arguments against: Harry did not know that Sirius Black was not in danger.
Arguments for: Dumbledore himself requested Occulmency lessons for Harry for his own benefit. First he refuses what the headmaster asks, then goes on to endanger the life of fellow students.
Nah, I think Harry Potter is just a normal wizard with nothing special about him. Only that he survived that curse because his MOM (not himself) protected him. This makes him very arrogant and feel special. It's this that makes him do stupid things because he thinks that he is invincible and above everyone else.
the spoiler tags are new tags and they are i believe

now onto my post:
Book1: Harry may have wanted to get the stone, but as dumbledore said at the end of the book he said that someone who wanted to get the stone but not use it could get it and only them. So, essentally, he did not want to use it, he just wanted to get it to keep it out of the hands of voldemort, and make it more difficult for voldemort to come back even though he did in the end. but he will be dead soon (me hopes)
Book 4: Harry did not know that the Cup was a portkey, he was just being a kind guy and basicly repaying cedric for all of the help that he has helped him with in the tasks, even though they basicly evenend out telling eachother how to figure out what the neddxt task was, or just straight up telling the other person. I am sure if he had known he would have had dumbledore touch the cup at the same time as harry instead of cedric, thay way dumbledore could have kept wormtail from bringing back voldemort! evil batard. hehe
Book5: Yeah, there i can agree, he disobeyed a dirrect order and went to the ministry of magic anyways, and then sirius came to save him and fell behinf the veil, i myself believe that there is some way in the magical world to bring sirius back but then again, it is just a story and it can be changed any way... if you know what i mean.
I agree with kkrizka! Harry Potter is just someone saved by his mother and that made him something special. I think that the whole thing about harry is not sufficient to make him such a special wizard. I read the books so that someone will not say that i haven't read all of the books. How he is made special, that bothers me - the writer told us yeah harry potter is something special. It was not in a way that we felt like he is something more. This is not OK imo and that makes harry not special in comparison to other "heroes" in other books...
As for the source of all evil, that is a very stupid sentence! He is by faaaaaar not that important to be the source of all evil. He is not a source of any evil acctually. People made him evil..he by himself is without any influence at all!
I disagree with the thought that Harry is the source of all evil. But I do agree with Albus Dumbledore, here. I want that last book!
I've heard some people say the the whole thing would be a waste of time if Harry ended up dying in the end. But that's not true. He might have to die, he might not. Whatever happens is going to make sense and it's not going to take away from how great these books and the lessons in them are.
It's all going to come together and hopefully we all won't feel gypped (sp?) in the end.
I would like to see Sirius come back somehow. Forget Lily and James. haha.

Replying to kkrizkawell I'm kinda with you because his mothers love gave him protection not himself but he is not arrogant at all but he shouldn't get all the fame his friends and mothers should get some.
but isnt that all part of the book and plot, the book cant all be nice and goodness there has to be some tension.. nearly all books have it these days, a sense of evil.
harry didn't die on deathly hallows book.. but dumbledore did [not],,the story is cloudy on my head now.. the deathly hallows stuff is amazingly described yet it had no major contributions on the later part of the book.. is deathly hallows the last part of the harry potter series?.. i think so because finally voldemort was defeated
So suddenly Harry is the center of all evil? Suddenly he's the reason everything goes completely wrong?
No, I don't think so. It is not Harry's fault that all those things happens, but yes his actions do lead to them. But it is like that in every persons life! Your actions can, or do give consequences for another human being or anything living at all. Nobody can know what their consequences leads to, so there is no way they can change it or prevent it from happening, unless your psychic or something.
Okey, so: Harry can't say the future. What happens, happens and there is nothing he can do about it.
I was wondering, can this be a discussion for the seventh and final book of the Harry Potter
series? Because I really want to talk about it. Great book! Do you think that the ending is a
bit.. predictable? I mean, it was kind of obvious (to me) that Hermione and Ron would
eventually.. Marry each other? As with Harry and Ginny. But I like Harry's kid the best, the one
that looks like him. Albus Severus, right? Or was it Albus Snape? Hmm.. I remember it was Albus
_______.. ....
Well, I figured I mine as well make the post for the book. I know Albus is probably reading it
considering his screen name is named after the former character. Anyway, I've read a few
articles about it and have heard that people are pretty satisfied with the ending. The storyline
has changed so much as Harry has grown older. I've also read though that there is lots of death
occurring throughout the book, but of course I guess that is part of the name. I purchased my copy
last night and have started reading chapter one. Please post what you think of it but ....
As all Harry Potter fans may now: The last book is coming out soon. It is going to be released July
21th. I found some unresolved plot info from the previous books on Wikipedia *****SPOILER*****
: QUOTE * Harry will return to the home of his non-magical (Muggle) relatives, the Dursleys
(whose cooperation has been requested by Albus Dumbledore), during the school holiday. The magical
protection Dumbledore arranged, which requires Harry to have a home with them, is set to expire when
Harry comes of age (see below).HBP Ch.4 * Harry plans to visit the remains ....
Don't be so stupid as to say 'omg I well hate harry potter - I watched the movies and they
were boring so I just didn't bother with it ever again! its just for kidz lolz'
That's simply ridiculous The books are almost completely separate things from the movies MOST
people who have read the books dislike the movies anyway I agree completely that the Harry Potter
films are made for a young audience And books 1 and 2 are also made for a young audience But beyond
that the books contain some quite adult themes, and were definately written with a more &....
This teory shows that harry potter has the best chances of being a gryffindor! as on my post
about 5 HP teories (click here) i quote the fifth: QUOTE 5 Harry potter is gryffindor last
descendent! noticed that the house bellonging to his parents is called Godric's hollow ?
Godric Gryffindor ... any resemblense? and... would it not take a true gryffindor to take the sword
out of the hat? there must have been loads of people truly loyal to gryffindor but not one of his
own blood!! i think james potter is the blood of gryffindor!!! t....
What do you reckon the 6 horcruxes will be then... Obviously we know the diary was one And the
locket from the Black house was probably the one dumbledore and Harry went to find The ring that
dumbledore destroyed (we don't know much about that really) Something of ravenclaws, hufflepuffs
and gryffindors? Dumbledore thinks that voldemort used nagini the snake to kill the old man in the
riddle house and then turned her into a horcrux, because voldemort was one horcrux short when he
went to kill Harry. Dumbledore also thinks that voldemort planned to make a horcrux w....
Harry Potter Spoilers Read spoiler at your own risk Alright now here is MY
theory on the whole "Snape is innocent, no shut up, he's guilty" thing: I was reading a
transcript of an interview that J.K. Rowling gave to some newspaper or magazine, I'm not sure
which, but it was about the guy asking her if she liked Harry Potter : Prisoner of Azkaban, the
movie. According to Rowling, she got "goosebumps" after watching it because it revealed a major
spoiler for later in the series (i.e., book seven). Today, I was watching Prisoner of Az....
Yesterday, I was re-reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince , and I have deduced that
Snape's allegiences indeed lie with the Order of the Phoenix. Here is why: At the top of the
Astronomy Tower near the end of the book, Dumbledore admits to Malfoy that he knew about the mission
Voldemort entrusted to Malfoy. However, he knew that Malfoy is not a murderer and therefore would
not kill dumbledore, so he asked snape to kill dumbledore instead so that Malfoy would not be killed
by Voldemort. Coincidentally, Snape had made an unbreakable vow to Narcissa Malfoy ....
WARNING: SOME SPOILER DETAILS FROM BOOK SIX! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK! Haha, suckers. More
Harry Potter and you can't do nothin' bout it, ye hear?! Indeed. So here is my theory
for Book 7, which I heard from an unconfirmed source but it is still kinda fun: There is another
prophecy concerning Harry that he does not know about, which again was forseen by Professor
Trelawney and told to Dumbledore around the time the first prophecy was made. But surprisingly, it
was about Harry's romantic destiny, not Voldemort. Dumbledore decided not to tell Har....
So, what do people actually think's going to happen in the last book, now the sixth one is out
of the way. Personally I think that Hogwarts will stage the final battle between Voldemort and the
others and they'll be all the magical creatures fighting each other etc. What do other people
think? Or do people just read the books and take in what happens then?....
The new Harry Potter (the sixth one) is already coming out (July, isn't it). I have just had a
chance to catch up with the Harry Potter books. They are all amazing. Once I started, I just
couldn't stop. Not only do I feel like I have to continue to read til the end of the book, but
also once I have finished one I sooo much want to read the next book. Was just wondering now which
one you like best (out of the five)? I think I like the third one most (the prisoner of Azkaban).
It's just a perfect jig-saw...all pieces were put together soo well, and filled wit....
