No surprise Albus has already posted here. I've never gotten into the books and haven't tried either, because they just seem so long. It would take me a long time to sit down and read 700 pages of a book when I can sit back and watch a 2-3 hour movie. So, I just watch the movies, although I hear they leave a lot out.

You COULD watch the movies, but the books have allot more thrilling details in them, and have allot more important scenes that Warner Brothers leave out @700 pages, nonense, what you do, it take a vacation, and that vacation is the week before the next book comes out, and on the way home you have nothing to do, so you read.... atleast, that is what happened in my case for the most recent book. and i finished it in a 14 hour drive home

Wow, i can't believe this stupid post has garnered so much attention! The only reason I posted here was to see if I could put a huge nonsense post, then edit it into a little one, but still get the credits for the big post. Haha, needless to say, it didn't work. Anyway, I gave up on trap17 a while ago, since I just didn't feel like rotting in front of my computer trying to get credits. So, I just decided to go with computing host. Plus, anything worthwhile I had to say was considered "racy" by the mods and I got warned a bunch, so I was like "screw you guys, I'm goin home!"

Well, back in the day around 5th grade or so whenever the books started coming out I actually read the first one, part of the second one, amazingly the entire third one, and a little over half of the fourth one. I am definately not a huge fan of reading at all, and to tell you the truth I actually enjoyed reading the books from time to time, the first book I read I was hooked on it and read it constantly until it was finished, same with the third one. In my life I probably havent read over 20 books, most of the books I have read were those boxcar children books because I really liked those when I was little. Even though im not a huge fan of Harry Potter like Albus Dumbledore up there I did enjoy reading the books at the time. Today, I probably wouldn't enjoy reading them, basically because I have enough patience to wait for the movie to come out.

QUOTE Meh, I think the books are kind of repetitive. I've never thought that the books were repetitive. Sure, there is always going to be facts that are repeated, but thats natural in a ongoing series. I've always like the movies, but I feel that things are changed to suit audiences, important details are left out, etc... etc... But honestly, if they made movies based exactly on the books, all the Harry Potter movies would be about 5 1/2 to 7 hours long. Who wants to sit through a movie that long. Titanic was torture enough.

The books are great, they open up for the magic, that exist in everyone of us. Encourage us to achieve our dreams, strive against the purpose of our lifes. Even if the struggle may cost you everything you hold dear, you'll be rewarded in the end. And for the topic, which I seems for the most part, making offtopics, I'll say that Order of the Phoenix is the book I like most.

I was wondering, can this be a discussion for the seventh and final book of the Harry Potter
series? Because I really want to talk about it. Great book! Do you think that the ending is a
bit.. predictable? I mean, it was kind of obvious (to me) that Hermione and Ron would
eventually.. Marry each other? As with Harry and Ginny. But I like Harry's kid the best, the one
that looks like him. Albus Severus, right? Or was it Albus Snape? Hmm.. I remember it was Albus

Not in the world, but in the series. Here is my synopsis: Oh yeah, it's kinda spoiler

wonder if this board has spoiler tags? Book 1. Killed a teacher at the the school he attended.
Arguments against: He was preventing the capture of the stone, and He was a dark wizard anyway.
Arguments for: If Harry did not persue the stone in the first place, it would not have needed

What do you reckon the 6 horcruxes will be then... Obviously we know the diary was one And the
locket from the Black house was probably the one dumbledore and Harry went to find The ring that
dumbledore destroyed (we don't know much about that really) Something of ravenclaws, hufflepuffs
and gryffindors? Dumbledore thinks that voldemort used nagini the snake to kill the old man in the
riddle house and then turned her into a horcrux, because voldemort was one horcrux short when he
went to kill Harry. Dumbledore also thinks that voldemort planned to make a horcrux w...

Well, I figured I mine as well make the post for the book. I know Albus is probably reading it
considering his screen name is named after the former character. Anyway, I've read a few
articles about it and have heard that people are pretty satisfied with the ending. The storyline
has changed so much as Harry has grown older. I've also read though that there is lots of death
occurring throughout the book, but of course I guess that is part of the name. I purchased my copy
last night and have started reading chapter one. Please post what you think of it but ...

Harry Potter 7 Theories
- Sorry to bombard everyone with HP btw. (50)
So, what do people actually think's going to happen in the last book, now the sixth one is out
of the way. Personally I think that Hogwarts will stage the final battle between Voldemort and the
others and they'll be all the magical creatures fighting each other etc. What do other people
think? Or do people just read the books and take in what happens then?...

- Which one is the best? (16)
The new Harry Potter (the sixth one) is already coming out (July, isn't it). I have just had a
chance to catch up with the Harry Potter books. They are all amazing. Once I started, I just
couldn't stop. Not only do I feel like I have to continue to read til the end of the book, but
also once I have finished one I sooo much want to read the next book. Was just wondering now which
one you like best (out of the five)? I think I like the third one most (the prisoner of Azkaban).
It's just a perfect jig-saw...all pieces were put together soo well, and filled wit...

That's simply ridiculous The books are almost completely separate things from the movies MOST
people who have read the books dislike the movies anyway I agree completely that the Harry Potter
films are made for a young audience And books 1 and 2 are also made for a young audience But beyond
that the books contain some quite adult themes, and were definately written with a more &...

Harry Potter and you can't do nothin' bout it, ye hear?! Indeed. So here is my theory
for Book 7, which I heard from an unconfirmed source but it is still kinda fun: There is another

was about Harry's romantic destiny, not Voldemort. Dumbledore decided not to tell Har...
Harry Potter 6 Spoilers!
- Warning: Harry Potter 6 Spoilers (21)
Yesterday, I was re-reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince , and I have deduced that
Snape's allegiences indeed lie with the Order of the Phoenix. Here is why: At the top of the
Astronomy Tower near the end of the book, Dumbledore admits to Malfoy that he knew about the mission
Voldemort entrusted to Malfoy. However, he knew that Malfoy is not a murderer and therefore would
not kill dumbledore, so he asked snape to kill dumbledore instead so that Malfoy would not be killed
by Voldemort. Coincidentally, Snape had made an unbreakable vow to Narcissa Malfoy ...

Harry Potter Spoilers Read spoiler at your own risk Alright now here is MY
theory on the whole "Snape is innocent, no shut up, he's guilty" thing: I was reading a
transcript of an interview that J.K. Rowling gave to some newspaper or magazine, I'm not sure
which, but it was about the guy asking her if she liked Harry Potter : Prisoner of Azkaban, the
movie. According to Rowling, she got "goosebumps" after watching it because it revealed a major
spoiler for later in the series (i.e., book seven). Today, I was watching Prisoner of Az...
