Hi!! I come from Holland, we don't have Thanksgiving here...No..the children are all waiting for their little christmas presents unde the christmas tree.
Kinda greedy and ungrateful, I think, if there's no occasion to thank your family and friends they are there for you. They actually should celebrate Thanksgiving in the Netherlands too. People can be more consciously about family and friends who they have in their life. I think that it often happends people forget who keep their life worth living. Yes, I would be glad if we had Thanksgivings day in the Netherlands.

For people who do celebrate Thanksgiving: Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I live in holland too and you are making a little mistake. First the childs are waiting for Sint Nicolas to put something in there shoe and then they will wait for the christmas tree presents. But now we're talking about this, what are ya guys actually celebrating at thanksgiving? And what are you doing? Getting presents? Eating much and good?

And ofcourse (however i don't know what is its tongue.gif) Happy Thanksgiving.

Well i thought i start a post since in like 1 hours it will be turkey day for me, the day of the
macy day perade, cowboys vs the lions (lions) the steelers vs colts (colts) and enough food for
everyone to eat until xmas comes. Hopefully to gain about 5 pounds for tomarrow in food which would

  3. Walmart Thanksgiving Sale
    (8)
Well I heard on the radio that someone leaked about a day after Thanksgiving sale. They are going
to be selling a HP notebook for about $380, an all in one printer, scanner, fax, and copier for $30
and other stuff for really cheap. Probably not the best in quality but still a deal. The stores
will only have so many I'm sure.....
  4. Thanksgiving Turkey
How are you cooking your turkey? (2)
Hi all. Thanksgiving is coming up soon and I was wondering how everyone else is going to cook up
their thanksgiving bird. I am going to deep-fry a couple of turkeys. If you've never had one I
highly suggest it. It's the best. Not only is it way faster, you only have to cook it for 3 1/2
minutes per pound, it also tastes way better than a oven cooked bird. The Turducken is for the
really hardcore. You stuff a duck with sausage, stuff that into a chicken, then stuff that into a
turkey. I'm not quite brave enough yet to give it a try.....
  5. Halloween Is Local Not International Celeberation
Do your people celebrate Halloween? (18)
On the evening of Oct. 31, millions of people in US and some other countries celebrate Halloween
with its symbolism of witches, devils, skeletons, bats and black cats. Children are dressing up as
ghosts and monsters . Many parents encourage their children to celebrate Halloween, assuming it to
be harmless and innocent fun. In recent times, children have taken up the practice of dressing in
Halloween costumes and visiting homes in search of edible and monetary treats, lightly threatening
to play a trick on the owner if a treat is not produce. While this allows children ....

Ireland and Scotland. It was celebrated by the celts for the end of summer. Suring this time, it
seems a lot of "darkness" was incorporated into this day. The people believed that the dead were
wandering around as spirits looking to whom they could possess. The people wou....
