| | It was usual attack with idea to transfer mayor amounts of data at the same time in order to choke internet pipelines. Among the 13 computers handling UltraDNS service, computers of US Department of defense was targeted also. It was smart and well planned attack that was traced back to South Korea, but internet didn't suffer any mayor damage, that was testament to resilliance of internet. Woaha, we still have it!

Sounds interesting, from what i read on that link you gave it sounds like an attempted denial of service through bottlenecking and overloading the machines with too much data to handle. Ive always thought that if i was a hacker, a very good hacker, to cause a lot of damage i could do a denial of service attack on the DNS systems and bring the internet back to the stneage of typing in IP addresses. Its a promising sign though that the internet can cope with such attacks, im just waiting for america to claim it was an incitement to war or something...

Hell that is pretty twisted even if the kids do have some disabilities, I think they new what they

on doing to this teacher. I forget giving them long-term suspensions, I expel them to a school away

Internet Could Max Out In 2 Years, Study Says

Wow that soon, I guess they should start deleting 90% of the internet then because of most of
consists of junk, porn, illegal activity, and websites that repeat themselves over and over again.
I guess though there is more to it then just that though, and this little quote says it all or
rather part of the problem we could be facing. QUOTE Internet users will create 161 exabytes of
new data this year, and this exaflood is a positive development for Internet users and businesses,
IIA says. An exabyte is 1 quintillion bytes or about 1.1 billion gigabytes. One exabyte is...
Microsoft Claims They Can Pass The Acid 2 Test With Internet Explorer 8
- (9)
Although this would go to the other forum I have to say this is shocking news in the browser wars
since right now only Opera can render the Acid test successfully. Right now firefox hasn't been
able to meet that success yet nor has IE 6 or IE 7, and so if the IE 8 teams claims are true then in
2008 IE could make a comeback in the web standards war and the browsers wars. I watch the video
briefly and I have a funny feeling though they have set up the code in such a way that it cheats the
acid test because they broke down the code to the acid test and then they menti...

Although not a hot a topic in the sense that was just found out, but for years now people have been
speculating when the big internet crash will happen because of the way the internet has grown since
the days of ARPAnet. As the article menton several technologies and breakthroughs in browser render
have made the internet as it is today. I would say this part of the article could foretell the
internet's big crash. QUOTE "In one day, YouTube sends data equivalent to 75 billion
e-mails; so it's clearly very different," said Phil Smith, head of technology an...
