Are there guys here who can play Guitar?
I would like to hear from you... may be i can get few tips from you...

I guess there should also be a discussion started to discuss Guitar. smile.gif

Also take a look at the below link in Youtube for Hotel California.

You should also browse through the related videos for the original "Hotel California". That's much better.

That's a good start. I have one tip that might help: try to keep the fret held down for a bit longer after you play each note so it sounds a little smoother. But overall, not bad. Look up the tabs for Stairway to Heaven, and learn to play it. It's not too complicated, and it's a great classic that will impress your friends, improve your guitar skills, and make toast!

I liked that, sweet sound. CrashCore's tip about holding the notes at the fret longer is a good one, i believe the smoother playing style is called Legato.
Learning to read music is ideal, but I haven't bothered yet, but I'm learning piano soon, so I'll have to. It's a good idea to learn to read tabliture (tab), because there are a lot of tracks out there that have been tabbed by people, so you can read them and learn them. Stairway To Heaven is a good song to learn, although a bit of a cliché.
A good idead is to experiment with different tempos, strumming and playing styles. For instance, palm muting is an easy technique to learn and is used in a lot of rock songs, as well as songs from other generes. Pick a few of your favourite songs from different timings and learn them. Even if they're easy, learn them, it'll give you more things to play when you get bored or need to entertain, and it will help you with your fingering. The more times you play each chord, and change between chords, the more you remember the position of the chord and how to get to it, until it becomes something you don't have to think about.

Whatever you do, good luck smile.gif

P.S. I recommend Ultimate Guitar for your guitar tab needs, it's helped me a lot.

That sounds pretty good to me, some bits sounded a tad odd, but I have a feeling thats our internet, or possibly speakers, which have been acting funny. Im no musician, although I did play piano for several years, I have lost touch, but its a cool sound your making to me smile.gif
