QUOTE(Meera @ Apr 15 2005, 10:44 PM) Hi, I would just like to ask what the url will be? Trap17 hosts domains and subdomains. Domains have to already be registered to work, and we do not register free domain names. However, the subdomains are free and the URL pattern for a subdomain is xxxx.trap17.com where xxxx is any word or words you choose

QUOTE(Phi @ Apr 18 2005, 09:16 PM) i wonder why registered members dont post here looks like they want hosting credits as much as they can Yep, that's why. That's why the "Life Talk" forum is almost deserted because you do not get post counts or hosting credits for posting here as well as in the "Life Talk" forum. That's also why the admins decided to make Entertainment a forum of its own because no one was posting there, but that's life. Also, this is supposed to be a guest forum, so registered members feel "out of place" if they come here.

I have this dilemma. You guys did a good job enticing me to join up! But I already got the required posts and I'm waiting to be accepted in some other hosting. No one has replied for more than 48 hours! So right now, I don't know if I should join here or the other one. Any hosting that accepts uni.cc domains pass for me! Could you guys give me suggestions? It's a waste if I eventually get accepted on the other hosting and have another one here.

Icemarle I can't answer for the other hosting We have 2 hosting companies here on trap17 and on astahost. I know you have not waited 48 hours for us to answer you. What you should do is wait for the other to come through, look at the one we give you here (You have to apply first) and then compare the 2 hosting businesses. Maybe you get a better package there I don't know, what I know is we try to give the best hosting we can and we work with members to solve their problems. Nils

Trust me. I was accepted in less than 30 minutes after submitting my application. As for your uni.cc problem, yes, we do accept uni.cc because we have cPanel which gives you complete control over your account. Suggestions?? Who needs it! Trap17 offers the best hosting without going all out, so you can bet your last dollar that trap17 is here to stay.

Wow... Could you guys explain how you get credits? Do you guys get 1 credit with 1 post? I have to get some stuff ready before attempting to register here first, but if my other host hasn't replied yet, I'd be happy to register here!

You get credits by posting, the amount of credits per post is determined by the legnth and the quality of the post. See the Trap17 Readme pages for more info

Hey everyone, this is Rejected.. I\'ve been absent from the forum for a long time, I\'ve had some internet problems and then more problems, and then I\'ve forgotten my password; I\'m on a public computer so I can\'t exactly look it up either. I\'ve been very busy with schoolwork and my job.. so pardon my absence please. I\'ll hopefully be back on the forums within a week and a half. Well, just telling you guys I was still alive, see you soon.

Yes, 500,000 page views will need about 500mb b/w. Well in the words of one of our admins... QUOTE(OpqQue) HOSTING CREDITS : Hosting credits is a unique pointing system at Trap17 which helps our system to keep your account active. The amount of hosting credits you have determines the No. of days you can remain INactive at our forums. HOSTING CREDITS = NO OF INACTIVE DAYS you can enjoy
You Get HOSTING CREDITS when you make a POST. ( the thing you are reading right now is also a post, posted by ME, OpaQue :-) ) If you are familier with forums, you must be knowing what is a post. Else if you are completely new to this forum system, You will have to read this to get familier with it.
HOSTING CREDITS DEPENDS UPON :- [+] Size of Post [+] Post Title and Description ( Try to give title and description ) [+] Presentation [+] The Topic or category where you are posting.*
* Some Forum Categories marked as NO POST COUNT wont give you hosting credits. They are only for your entertainment. When you are hosted credits go down 0.01 per 15 mins (which adds up to 1 total per day). When you are not hosted, credits do not go down. Also: - At -30 credits your account is terminated and all files are permanently REMOVED. There is no way to recover your files!!!
- At 0 credits your account is suspended
- At 4 credits your account is unsuspended
- 10 is the recommended quantity of credits to have
A script automatically performs a check of this every hour. Your account will NOT be immediately unsusepneded or suspended once the required credits are acheived
