| | The grapihics card i have at the moment is the Nvidia 8600GT. i have been looking at whether the graphics cards on the market at worth the money to upgrade. will the difference be worth the money?
Options i hav looked at:
- Nvidia 8800GTS - better than my current graphics card
- Nvivdia 8800GT - better than my current grapihics card but not as good as the 8800GTS.
- Nvidia 8600GT - this is my current graphics card, i could purhase another one and run SLI
What would you choose?

Looking at NewEgg... the 8800GS will come about to $150, $220 for the 8800GT, and $100 for another 8600GT. (Just guessing on the averages.) Looking at Tom's Hardware, the GT comes out with 30 fps, the GS with 24, and the SLI option at a mere 14 fps when benchmarking with Oblivion at max graphical options at 1920x1200x32. At a lower 1024x768x32 resolution, benchmarking results in 70, 58, and 38fps, respectively. You get almost double the framerate with the 8800GT compared to adding another 8600GT for an SLI setup, but of course you pay about double the cash. 50% improvement comes with the 8800GS. Know what that means? At this point, you're getting what you pay for.

I think the best card till date for the money is 9800 GTX or 8800 GTX. Awesome performance and you won't need an SLI  btw I am also using 8600 GT (512).. I was also planning to update but I am waiting for 9800 GT, It might be priced somewhere around 8800 GT

I have an Ati Radeon 9250, it's a little on the slow side, but it gets the job done, it's much faster than an integrated one anyway. I don't have much experience with NVIDIA so I can't tell you which of your options is better though.

Psp Memory Cards
(1) I have a PSP slim and lite with firmware 3.80 or something and i've been having some problems. I
have two memory cards, a SanDisk 1GB and a Sony 4GB. The strange thing is that i can store films on
the SanDisk one but not the Sony, it just says "corrupted file' whenever i try to play the film.

Laptop Graphics Upgrade
(4) I know that generally you cannot upgrade a laptops graphics card! I am thinking of getting THIS
laptop and it has a good graphics card which according to Nvidia's wesite will be direct x10
compsatible but in the future I may want a new graphics card without a new laptop, is it possible
with this laptop because it has dedicated memory in the graphics card so i am not entirely sure as
for ram and hard drive i believe it can have double the ram and double the hd space I am no expert
of laptops so thats why i am asking the specs aren't hugely instructive b....

Graphics Card Aperture Size Change
(4) Hi I just got this computer last week and its running great , bar a few small probs. Today i have
noticed that my AGP Aperture size is set to 64mb My card is a nVIDIA Geforce 6200 256MB AGP I was
just wondering if it is at all possible that i can change the aperture size to 128 or 256. I just
done today a bios update ,but i still see no setting for me to be able to configure this option. I
just manage to get the agp slot running at 8x ,as it was at 4x when i got the computer. I think the
bios update fixed that ,but am still not making any progress in fixing the Ape....

choice of a 8800GTX and a 8800Ultra which one would you take. The logical answer would be the
8800ULTRA since it has higher clock speeds, better looking etc but I've heard some people say

Graphics Card/monitor Issue

8800 Series Graphics Cards
(1) So, what're your thoughts after seeing it in action in some form or fashion? NVIDIA has showcase

released any tech demos for at least the basic stuff you can do (or at least for those with Windows
Vista RC1/2). The thing that trips me out the most is the water effect (the DX10 geometry shader).

Macbook Graphics Down Grade
(0) some news for the mac fans There is a rumor going around on the web that the new macbook has a
graphics down grade from its old g4 brother. some of you might be thinking i am just talking crap,
but it looks like that the new macbook has its graphics capabilities somewhat intergrated with the
intel chip. this puts more processing calls on the processor and less on the graphics card causing a

(10) the new video cards are crazy, they work like a charm if you don't mind paying more for them
than the rest of your setup. these new cards have more power than some of the pc we used a few back
and it is all in a much smaller space. It is really cool the speed at which technology is moving at

About Using Two Graphics Cards
SLI Technology (1) Now, i'm new to this program, i've just replied once and that was in the games section with

video cards (7) am tryin to get good graphics on my system,but at the same time i want to keep it simple and achieve
a balance between functionality and cost,integrated graphics chips on a system board are cheaper
take less system resources but may not give high end performance while on the other hand video cards
are quite expensive,take a toll on system resources and thier gains are bogged down in low end
systems,am running a low budget pls advise....
