There is speculation that google might go into the phone market. rumor has it that google is developing a phone (possibly to compete with ihpone) and the mobile subscription would be free! Of course, it would be ad supported - but I wouldnt mind a 5 second ad before making a FREE phone call.
From what I understand, Google apps are featured on the iPhone. I don't have one, so I'm not sure. But, why would they release a phone to directly compete with a phone that features their software? I'm not saying that it would suck, I love free stuff. But, I highly doubt that it will go through.
These stuffs are all rumours. How can a web product based company suddenly come up with a new mobile phone which requires very high technology infrastructure which google does not have at present.
This is surely an hoax. How can a web solutions company suddenly manufacture a mobile phone. Where will they get all the infrastructure them. Even though they have it. They must have officially made an announcement about it. It like saying Nike is manufacturing cars or Mercedes is manufacturing shoes.

of mobile in the UK. It is the first step to transforming bbc.co.uk on mobile into a much richer and
more engaging experience. In the coming months, the mobile proposition will develop significantly,

QUOTE Beijing appears to have taken a page out of Myanmar's playbook by blocking some
Internet access amid rioting in Tibet that has already seen as many as 80 people killed, according
to the Tibetan government in exile. China blocked access to Google News and YouTube in an apparent
attempt to stop the spread of video footage related the rioting going on in several cities in Tibet,
including the capital Lhasa. Demonstrations in the city started on March 10, a day commemorating the
anniversary of a 1959 uprising against Chinese rule after which the spiritual lead....
OH NO Hell must be freezing over or I wouldn't believe this if it were not true or not, and it
is. It would seem the power house known as google has got a nasty little flaw in its google toolbar
and from the looks of this flaw phishers can get into your computer. QUOTE The flaw lies in
the mechanism Google Toolbar uses to add new buttons on the browser. Because the toolbar does not
perform adequate checks when new buttons are being installed, a hacker could make his button appear
as though it was being downloaded from a legitimate site when in fact it came fro....
QUOTE "SEATTLE - Microsoft Corp., the No. 3 Web search provider in the U.S., is rolling out
changes to its search engine aimed at narrowing the gap between it and market leader Google Inc."
Source It looks like microsoft is trying to make a super search engine to compete with google. I
thought what they did to the live search was a big change but it looks like they have a lot planned
for live search. There are some features that i like that they are going to add but some that is
just going to put to much junk on the page when you are searching. QUOTE "It....

Ooma has created a peer-to-peer phone service intended to eliminate long-distance costs. They do
this by having Ooma devices in homes. When you make a long distance call, the ooma device sends your
voice over the internet to the ooma device of the person you are calling. The call then connects to
the local telephone line and tricks it into thinking its a local call. A genius idea. Very cool to
see people are trying new things. The only down side is that the caller and the person that is being
called both have to have this device. Ooma plans to charge $399 for each ....
