i don't mind a banner if it's not a pop-up, not interfering with page design, contains no harmful or obscene materials and does not have any errors in its code. The last one is especially important because I used to host my site at topcities and the banner they put has an error in the code. And one of the guestbook entry i received was, 'there is already a source error in the first page'. I hate it... haha...
I also don't mind a banner at the bottom of the page but not many free web hosts do that
I don't mind google ads. They are nice because they are relevant to the page you are viewing. Popups are annoying and I feel aren't affective because I think most people are annoyed and X it out without even reading it.
I too, don't mind the google ads, although these are not pop up ads.
I do, however, mind pop up ads. I have a pop up stopper, and I use that. I doubt pop ups even pay very well anymore, now with the wide spread prevalence of pop up stoppers.
I actually i like google. The good thing is that the Text ads simply match up with your site contents, and it doesn't show up an appropriate links which will be a lost of your site, rather than a gain.
Same here. I actually hate pop ups or anything that makes me do additional clicking, so whenever I go to a site with a pop up, I'll probably won't go back unless it's a very good site that's updated often.
Google Ads are probably the only ones that I will use for my site...unless they cancel my account. With Google ads, you can control the ads or what your visitors see. That means you won't get a nude picture of some woman because you can choose to display text ads. Image ads with google are actually quite reliable also because I've read somewhere that Google doesn't let advertisers to advertise adult material.

Posting is way out of place for this topic, and too slick to be yours. There are too many links coming back from a Plagarism search to track exactly which one you copied from, so I'll just issue a Warnng and not Ban you for the occurence.
FrontRange Creates VoIP/CRM GoldMine March 16, 2006 By me, John Marisca
QUOTE
FrontRange Solutions recently announced the release of its GoldMine IP Voice Suite, an integrated offering which combines an enterprise-class VoIP telephony solution with the company's GoldMine Corporate Edition CRM product.
The company uses the catch-phrase The Power of Two to describe the effect of integrating these two key solutions. "Once you combine the phone system with the CRM or the information management, then you begin to more effectively and efficiently process calls, and the customer actually has a better experience," says Jim Puchbauer, FrontRange's senior product marketing manager.
The VoIP side of the IP Voice Suite solution is based on FrontRange's IP Office Suite, a SIP-based VoIP phone system with unified messaging. "In and of itself, it is a full-blown IP PBX," Puchbauer says. "We're not necessarily attacking that market 100 percent, but we're using the powerful switching foundation as an enabler technology for the Voice Suite."
Enabling new functionality Once the GoldMine CRM functionality is combined with VoIP, Puchbauer says, a wide range of applications are enabled. "The user just sees some additional capabilities built into the GoldMine product set that they've been using all along—so no retraining is needed," he says. "They're seeing the same screens, but now we have this tight integration to telephony."
All calls, inbound and outbound, are automatically logged for future reference. "If a call comes in from one of your customers and you don't take the call, not only is that voicemail recorded in the system, but it also shows up as a contact item in your task list for GoldMine—and you can click on the Details tab and right there available for you is the call, right in that customer contact record," Puchbauer says.
All calls are buffered as they occur, which also enables call recording on demand. "If three quarters of the way through the call, you want to record it, it goes back and grabs the call from the very beginning, for somebody who gets an irate customer, or a really good customer, or a call that would be great for training—there's a number of reasons why you might want to record a call on demand," Puchbauer says.
For outbound call management, a manager can set up a call list, then simply assign it to a group of users. "Then from the GoldMine user's desktop, they see there's a calling campaign available, and they click to make themselves available to it," Puchbauer says. "When they're ready to make a call, they click on Get Next Call, it pulls up that record, and it also pops up information or a calling script."
Options for integration The system can either be installed as an add-on to a legacy phone system, or it can be used to replace an existing system entirely. "We're seeing both types of implementations, but at this point, we're seeing more interest in the integration—a lot of the work we're currently doing is integrating the IP Voice Suite with current phone systems that a customer would have," Puchbauer says.
Integration with a legacy TDM phone system to VoIP-enable a specific department or group of users, Puchbauer says, isn't a problem. "Calls can come in just like they currently do, on an 800 number or through a current employee, and then be transferred or passed through to the IP Voice Suite—and enable those telephony capabilities to enhance the work environment of your GoldMine power users," he says.
The result, Puchbauer says, is that it becomes much easier for a company to add this kind of functionality. "We've done that native integration, so now you can very simply and very easily do that full-blown, very deep level computer telephony integration for IP telephony and your customer relationship management," he says. "Where before it was expensive and hard to do, we do that right out of the box."
Serving the SMB space Yankee Group analyst Ken Landoline says FrontRange's new offering is relatively unique, particularly for small and medium sized businesses. "Especially at the low and medium end of the market, we don't see these kinds of tightly integrated products coming out yet," he says. "It's definitely something we're going to see more of in the future, but it's a difficult task."
The first customers to pick up this product, Landoline says, will inevitably be companies that already have GoldMine installed. "People that have their CRM package now will see an opportunity to either put in an overnight move to VoIP telephony with this new suite, or they're going to attach it behind their existing system to add a high level of functionality to some groups within their organization," he says.
And with an installed base for GoldMine of about 1.5 million users in 130,000 companies, Landoline says, FrontRange is in an excellent position to provide solutions like this. "Over the next five years, I think people are going to see the opportunity to use FrontRange going forward into a lot more telephony areas of their business," he says.
Everybody seems to like Google Adds - I approve! sice they are costomisable and only text, it really does make them look nice on almost any page. The best example I have seen is tizag.com. Go Google, and as you say - "...hopefuly they will all learn from Google and make it like that!"
I don't mind google ads either. They are nice because you can control what gets put onto them, they pay nice, and you can make them blend in with the color scheme of your site so that they don't stick out like a soar thumb. I think Yahoo Ads are also like this, but I can't be completely certain.
There are few other advertisers like this out there, but hopefuly they will all learn from Google and make it like that!
I was watching the Bill Bailey Part Troll DVD, and was wondering what that thing is on the left that
he has on the (our) left that he waves and it works as a kind of synthesizer. I Really don't
know what it is, and would like to. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about
here is a youtube link http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=TqDl491ORqM It's the thing on the left
that he waves his hand near and it 'squeaks'. I first thought there was strings or
something in the loop at the front he was playing, but that seemed to be wrong, as it m....
This topic is sort of about 2d games competing with 3d games, and aimed more at game developers. Is
2D in the past? With modern gaming, would you even consider purchasing a 2D game? I use trap17 to
run a site for RPG Maker XP/VX(I know a few others on trap17 do also), which is an all round site
for creating 2D games. Some interesting discussions have come up on the forums on 2d vs 3d game
making. I usually go with 3D saying that it is much better than 2D, and with todays modern games,
creating games in 2D is just going backwards. But I think most of us on trap17 are ....
I was reading some of these messages in this forum and I noticed that I had heard some of them
before and when I thought about where I believe it was copied directly from a religious tract
(little hand outs that Christians use to spread their faith) I know that if you copy/paste from a
website it is against trap17's rules but what about this? It is the same thing, plagiarism (tho
technically they most likely have the rights to copy it in any way possible but it still is not
their own writing) Please note I have nothing against Christians or the whole spreading your....
I am sure many of you have heard of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator and their "FREE"
competition, The Gimp and Inkscape. Personally myself I love all Adobe Software, but can't
afford any of it. Anyone here use The Gimp or Inkscape and can they show some of there work from it.
I have just recently started using the two, although I design my websites with Adobe Photoshop, but
it's my fiances brother's Adobe Photoshop. So I just use it more than he does to get my work
done. I have to say though the developers of The Gimp and Inkscape did a really good ....
I've seen a lot of webhosts where a paid upgrade is "Safe Mode OFF". I know here at Trap17 that
it's turned off by default on all webhosting, but I'd just like to know, why is this an
advantage? What features that are enabled are so important that they have to be disabled in safe
mode?....
My site won't let me upload anything new. I was trying to upload a new flash thing I made, and
it kept saying that my disk quota was exceeded, so I deleted some files, to see if that would help.
That didn't work, so I deleted some more, and it still didn't work. Then, I was looking
around, and I found the /etc file, and it had three files, passwd, quota, and shadow, and they were
all 0kb. Then I decided to use the cpanel, instead of fireFTP, and I tried emptying the trash to
see if that would work, and I got this: CODE Unable to create trash folder. ....
This is wierd. Why is that when you point a mirror at a mirror, you see an infinite number of
mirrors that stretch on to who knows where? It almost looks as if you could climb into the mirror
like a tunnel. When I was younger, I used to believe that there was another world on the other side
of a mirror. An alternate dimension where everything is the same but with a minor difference. Like
when you look into a mirror, you are looking at the other you. The only difference is that if you
had an earring in your left ear, he has onein his right. And all text is backwards in th....
I AM VERY MUCH ADDICTED TO NET and my freinds used to call me net-eria(means a net being) i
couldn't concentrate on my studies at that time but i worked over it to overcome that addiction
now i only spend 10 hours a week on the net only. i think it is not addiction anymore relative to
50+ hours a week which i earlier used to spend on the net and that too on cheap sites. i think
maturity comes only after some experience. ....
When someone comes around to realizing that they personally have a need for spiritual development,
in whatever form it may take, is a wonderful thing. To realize a need that is so essential and yet,
in many cases, goes unrecognized; thus, without fulfillment; is like suddenly realizing that you
haven't fed yourself in a month and suddenly realizing that you're so hungry you would die
if you didn't eat. In this day and age, we are so tied up in making the almighty dollar, keeping
up appearances, and for many people, pretending to be something that they are not....
A revolutionary blog and site monetization is coming this FEBRUARY!!!!! TV
advertisers pour a lot of investment in advertising... imagine if they would transfer that into the

This may seem very wierd but still I believe that it is true now I cannot remember the exact same
details but you will get the picture. This is what happened. A girl some place in america I think
mother told her to tie a card to a baloon with her address and name and the words write me back on
it. So some time later she gets a letter from a girl with the exact same name? Weird huh? Well at
first her parents say that it says too her name not from but she finally convinces them that it is
from the girl to her with the exact same name. Turns out they left a phone number on ....
Me and the lady were watching "Don't Fire Me I'm Famous" or some such drivel last night and
the star of the show was Abi Titmuss! First of all, what is the point in this woman? She's
only famous because she filmed herself having sex with Grant Stott's verperted brother! She
was sitting through the interview constantly batting her eyelashes so she looked like she was having
some sort of stroke, and pretending to be gutted about people seeing her having dirty sex. She was
like "oh my life is so hard, it's so humiliating, my sex tape outsold P....

We get our school timetables after our summer holiday. They are meant to be created over the summer,
which gives the staff 6 weeks to sort them out. So, why on earth do they never have them ready on
our first day? They always send a note out on the first day apologising for the fact they
haven't even started the timetable. Then, magically, its done by the second day. If they can do
it in 2 days, why can't they do it in 6 weeks ?!? And, when I finally received my
timetable, it was wrong. Not just little errors, but quite major ones. I have 9 lessons in a sub....

Ok. I started this thread becuz most of the time, i can deal with noobs, we all can. but sometimes,
they just push us over the edge. I'd like to know: what makes you cringe about a noob? for me,
it's when a random person just trades with you. I've had this happen. So I'm standing in
Varrock East bank, and i see "jizzle335 wishes to trade with you" in purple letters in the chat box.
So, bored, I trade with him. So the noob puts up a mith pick and just sits there, hoping i'll
buy it. so i viciously close the trade box and turn trade accept to 'of....

So, I had an issue a while back with my computer. The power supply had died. The computer sat
dormant for about a month before it was fixed. So, last night, after putting the power supply in, I
boot up the computer and everything is dandy. Then the processor fan decides to start making noise.
Usually I can just kind of push gently on one part of it and the noise will go away. But no, not
this time. The noise got, easily, 20 times louder. So I shut my box down and pulled the fan and heat
sink. I fiddled with the fan for a bit.. took a sticker off.. adjusted a clip.. put i....

What the title says. What's the stupidest and most asinine statement you've ever heard from
