I agree, don't worry too much about the money, go somewhere you like, because that is the important part. Go into a major that you enjoy, not what anybody else is in. It's all about you're life. I finished college a few years back, my major was in Psychology.

I'm going to the University of Wisconsin at Madison starting this fall. I plan on majoring in engineering but may switch to business or attempt to do some sort of combination of the two.

I don't attend an actual university, but a technical community college in my locality. On one hand, it's much cheaper than going to a university, I have a closer interaction with the faculty, and I don't have to walk far to class. Also, I can drive there and back every day. On the down side, I have less of a choice of peers for friends, and I don't get to stay as far away from my parents :/. Oh well, you must give and take as things go, you know? I didn't attend in the spring semester of 2008, and I dropped 3 of my classes, all but Psychology, in the fall semester of 2007, due to some personal issues (read: lack of maturity, depression). I hope to be going back though, full time, this fall. I checked out the school website and the government's FAFSA homepage to make sure I was within the deadlines -- I was worrying a lot about those, heh. As it turns out, the federal deadline for the FAFSA in 08-09 school year is June 30, 2009. And my school's registration is in August, so I shouldn't have worried . My major is Computer Engineering. I don't necessarily enjoy working with the circuits and actual hardware components as much as I enjoy programming them, though. I'm interested in Operating Systems programming, so maybe I'll find something to do in that area. Go GNU/Linux!!! (And C.)

ha, yup i go to an University and i am doing my engineering in Information technology and i really love my branch and i am entering into my final year . College life is really cool , i am a hostler and i love the hostel Fun ! etc. and hope you guys must also be enjoying your hostel life if you are in a hostel . To be more specific ,the thing i like in my university is the internet connections provided to all the students , here we have full internet connectivity which is of very high speed for all the hostel rooms and this enables me to browse and experiance the real taste of the internet. And i like the enviornment of my college , that is it is situated between mountains , its like a horse shoe shaped mountain and in the center we are situated and the mountain is full of greenaries, falls etc. we do go the falls during weekends and we play in the river. We go the river side for birthday parties and we have fun ! To comclude i go the University and i love it ..

I'm a Computer Science major (at a liberal arts school...how ironic), and I'm discovering that I really, really love my major. It fascinates me. One of the things I love about college is how you specialize in something like that, it is so unlike high school where they make you take a bunch of crap you'll never use. I really am enjoying my time at college...it's quite an experience!

I attend Brigham Young University (go Cougars!) and am in my second semester. I'm technically a sophomore by credit, but I'm only in my second semester. Right now I'm planning on double majoring in Music Education (secondary instrumental) and Computer Science. But, that may of course all change. I'm hoping to be able to finish it.

Anyone else ever take an 18-credit load in college? Even a 17? Just took my first
"crammer-semester," as my friends affectionately call it, last fall.... the results were not pretty
to say the least. Let's just say the pattern of working hard from day 1 to day 40ish and then
gradually declining from that point until the week before finals appears far too often for me.
Seems normal college behavior (unless you're a work/study-aholic), more than half the campus
does the same thing, but it just feels a bit ADD to me. Gotta start popping Ritzee's I guess, l...

Necessary College Things

I know for my first year of college I wasn't sure at all what I needed and what I didn't.
Turns out I brought some of the necessary things, but left behind others that totally slipped my
mind. Now that it's my second year, I feel like I did much better, but I'm wondering what
other essentials I've forgotten. What are your favorite things that you have brought to
college for your dorm living experience? So far I've found a mini fridge, microwave, and
electronic tea kettle/coffee pot to be extremely useful and definitely necessary! Sometim...

What do you guys like best about your schools/ colleges?? I wanna talk about the school in which I
did my A-level. I think what I liked best about the school was the tutors and their small classes.
The maximum number of students in each class is limited to only 8. And we all receive extensive
care, attention....and tutors there are not only tutors, they are like friends and also parents.
We had a lot of fun in class.....and we also learn things very well as a result of having small
classes. When I was having problems with anything ....e.g. when I need a dentist (I...

Ipod And Duke University

from taping lectures, listening preloaded lectures, download/uploading assignments etc. It is a
brilliant idea and it should be promoted to all universities in the States, and worldwide. Just
wonder if there is any Dukkies here at trap17 forum, I would like to suggest that you share your
information (if allowed) in your iPOD to some self-learning adults in the community. They might want
to learn from the lectures in your iPOD. If you could find a way to share, that's...
