I reckon it might be weird. and wont hit off straight away I mean msn is soo popular now and people might find it a drag to re add all those contacts plus some people can not get gmail... so i dont know. |

All of my friends hate gmail so even if they got a IM it would have to be compatible with other ones aswell for me to use it......

I hardly found anyone to dislike Gmail, not to mention hate. You and your friends must work for microsoft or Yahoo or some email services.  seriously Gmail can still use some improvement, but even so it is already one of the best, if not THE best.

I have to agree with burgen. Though GMail has a few issues, such as claiming incompatibility with Opera 7.6, it unquestionably beats any other web mail service out there, free or pay-for. They even offer free POP access! How can one beat this when they offer so much right off the bat, really?

Hummz, a messenger for gmail huh? Well it would be a good idea  . It shouldnt be a copy of msn, yaahoo or AIM tho... They should make it more custumizable, that you can change buttons, colors etc withoud needing to makr themes or to open the source. Also they should make a system that you can put features in and out (Like the mozilla firefox plug ins). The thing that bothers me the most at msn is that its awfully slow sometimes, if you wpould be able to turn off features you never use you could make it faster (Depending on your pc's specs) The thing that bothers me the most about aim, is that it loads very slow and usally stops my pc from loadng any other files before aim is loaded. If Gmail messenger would have those things fixed I guess it should be worth a try. With 1000 mb storage you could share files etc with email too

I fully agree that Google should have its own Instant Messenger. I think it would be a very feasible idea. Maybe someone should petition to Google or something? I'll gladly sign it... And true, although Gmail is one of the best webmail clients, it still has room for improvement. Go Google! -Shackman

Yeap I too think that gmail should have instant messenger service. Having added that service google would touch another peak of its own. Hence enabling itself to get more popular.

i am in favor of an instant messanger service from google. but maybe what will happen is when they finally release gmail to the public maybe they will start working on and instant messanger for google.

Humm, they shoud take advantage over the features google has (1000 mb gmail, very advance search etc)... you can do lots of it Maybe 2 people can watch a movie that's being buffered by the gmail accaunt File Sharing Integrating search into msn to A) Search all chats with your friends  Search the internet directly C) Share what you find with google search I uess a lot more can be done by google, I really hope their gonna make 1... Maybe 1 that is compatible with aim and msn so no-one has to swith messenger

Having Trouble Accessing Google
(1) I opened my computer this morning very excited about checking my email but to no avail because till

Google Health Beta Service Goes Live
(1) Well it seems Google is going ahead with service even though the huge security risks that are
involved in this program. Of course, they are well aware of the problems that come with this, but
even if they got military grade security on their servers, there is far to much risk having your
medical records floating around on the internet. However, its not like they have been circulating on
the net for years through computer databases and what not, and that really surprises me that
hospitals haven't been attack or if they have, they been keeping it hush hush for years. ....
Google Notifier Problems...
(3) Alright well I've got google notifier on my mac and it works great, so I decided to install it
on my windows partition as well. Well I am having problems with the windows version (Surprised?).
Anyway the problem is that it doesn't remember my username and password. The mac version stores
my account username and password in the mac keychain, but the windows version prompts me for my
account username and password every time I start up the computer . It completely defeats the
purpose of the notifier. If anyone knows how to have it store the username and passwo....
Google Operating System
Should or Will they ever make one? (8) I think it would be sweet to have a Google operating system. I searched google for it, and all that
I could find was a bunch of people with the idea for them to make one. I think they'd be able
to make it run all the programs we have already for Windows, Linux, and Mac, and make it a lot
better. They could integrate it with the internet a lot better that other OS's. So, do you

Google China
Errors with Google (13) For about one or two weeks my browsers(both internet explorer and firefox) were hijacked to some
degree by google. No matter what web address I would put in to either of them be it something like
