Hi all, judging from the many posts to the forums re: hardware & software problems... I posted this
question: HOW MANY TIMES HAS A "UPDATE" downloaded directly from MSs website.. CRASHED YOUR COMPUTER

Here is an idea that I have been toying with for a while now, and I'd really appreciate

Hi, I was just curious if Fantastico on the Alpha server is still being updated with the new
software because lately I've been manually going to the actual software sites and in some cases
they are very far ahead of Fantastico on updates, I checked on the Netenberg site and it has the
latest versions so I'm just wondering. If needs be I can pull the data out of databases and
install it manually but I'd just thought I'd check first. Thanks...

I was just wondering is there any way to put updates for OS X on a CD/DVD flash drive? Every couple
months I like to re-install tiger and have a fresh start (For no particular reason other than
cleaning) and every time I do it i have to download a couple gig worth of updates (My restore disk

With Firefox 3 beta 4 out, and firefox 3 beta 5 on it's way I thought I go through my topics and

As per the following image, I have several java updates stored on my machine, and I wondered if the

I was wondering if anyone here knows something about Windows updates. I use Win XP SP2 and have
done a repair install of Windows. I now notice that my updates do not work properly anymore. I have
Automatic Updates turned on, but now, I see the yellow icon in my taskbar which tells me updates are

Even though the fiasco with the .ANI exploit is still going strong microsoft released it's month

Firefox can be up-graded as of Feb 23rd, 2007 to the newest release 2.0.0.2 which includes a few
minor security fixes. Nothing Major for most Firefox users. One of the Greatest things about
Firefox is how simple the swap to a new version. Simply uninstall the old version and then install
the new one. All of your old settings and Bookmarks and extensions/Add-ons are still in effect. You
barely notice any change in the versions what-so-ever. Everything you need to know (and more) is

I need to send Mr Gates an email. Does anyone have his Address? These Updates which run
automatically are really bothering me. I am busy trying to do stuff and every 5 minutes the stupid
software keeps flashing up and telling me to re-start this machine so it can do its thing (whatever
that might be). And that's another problem. What is it trying to update? It does tell you.

I have read the thread about how dangerous Windows XP Service Pack 3 is since there has not been a
Beta out for it yet. But I have had two Automatic Updates pending and I have not installed them
yet. There is just that little yellow shield like icon the taskbar asking me to install every once

Well after some minor editing here and their and getting the website to work with both FF and opera
I was able to get it work YEAH!!! For me Only problems I had was the logo up top in ff and opera is
off to the left so had add some spacers to it. Also the ad rotator script that I am using will not
