This offer for a free promotional USB Drive is currently only available in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Participants under 13 years of age are required by law to get parents permission before submitting any personal data.
Well, i checked out the website and entered my information and interestingly enough it was painless and it didn't ask you to complete any offers, will be interesting to see if I really do get a USB flash drive in the mail.
If some of you remember in late 2006 I believe Microsoft was supposed to send you a sweet package of stuff, sadly it never cam. So it should interesting what this website does once they have my private information and e-mail.
We get to blame the the topic starter for the large amount of spam I will get in the near future then after baiting us in a trap?
The reason I posted this was because two of my friends claim to have received this free 1GB drive... I signed up last week so hopefully I won't have much longer to wait.

Actually, the email address was optional, so the only mail i'll get will be to my real mailbox and that's ok, I don't sort the mail
it's so unfair to see this offer only available to residents in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. hey, how about the PHILIPPINES and the rest of the world!?
anyway, you might be surprised if you instead get stress balls instead of USB for free. LOLZ! check their index page: http://www.usbforfree.com/index.html
Well.... I filled out the form... now I guess I'll wait and see if I actually get a free 1gb usb drive... I hope so... if its a scam... liwenjones: I will eat your limbs....
I signed up for that about a year ago. Nothing yet. It's one of those google ads money making scams. If you check the domain name registration, you'll get this:
QUOTE
Registrant: Domains by Proxy, Inc. DomainsByProxy.com 15111 N. Hayden Rd., Ste 160, PMB 353 Scottsdale, Arizona 85260 United States
You only get a proxy domain if you want to hide your info. It's a scam.
and serverPh, they have sister sites that say they'll give you stress balls, beer muugs, etcf.
Hmm can I really trust this site? It sounds interesting, but how much money do they really make? I wouldn't mind a company brand on my USB drive, but does one brand really pay for one drive? Drives are cheap...10$ could probably get a 1GB, but personally I don't think 10$ is reasonable for a logo on a drive... well maybe you never know.
Wouldn't there be issues with people who made the drive... branding non-creator company on it?
Funny how it said you might not actually get the drive... Good luck if you're living in a rural area
This business scheme puzzles me.... only 30 cents per unit?
There's also no privacy policy... nor does it say that it will delete your information after it uses it. The site design looks fishy...

I was about to sign up until I saw this. LOL If its really a scam I'm glad I didn't. What a waste of time. I trust Csshih's word and if anyone does get a free flash drive from that site let us know.
This doesn't make sense to me that people are willing to give out their street address, but not for an email address that you could always just get a new one for free. I'm not getting that.
My guess is that people get extremely annoyed by junk mail in their email inbox, and it's extremely common because it is free for advertising companies to send out hundreds of thousands of spam emails. On the other hand, it costs (potentially quite a lot of) money for the same advertising company to physically send out postal mail, so it's far less common. I get somewhere around 50-100 junk emails every single day at my most used email account, yet my entire family gets maybe one or two letters from credit card companies daily. Do you see my point?

well, yea, its not really bad to sign up, I have not recieved anything weird or any spam. (actually.. who knows? I have so much spam On my gmail, I don't really keep track of it.)
doesn't hurt to try, just use a spam email address.
and how do you know your friend received the flash drive from that website? He could of signed up for some other promotion.
well this could be your website and if we click on your ad's you could be getting the money, and I would assume your friend doesn't have the original packaging and photos with it. Of course for all we know the USB drives are rigged with viruses, trojans and other nasty stuff, and who knows I could get spam, and maybe they will try and steal my identity. I wonder what would happen if I send an email to them asking to remove my info? Of course if you want to do an adsense scam you would have a lot more ad's on your site, and set it up that after each time you click each link you get tagged with all these ads.
Of course I have plenty of USB sticks I got about 4Gb worth in 5 sticks .
$changepage = $_REQUEST ; echo " $changepage "; ?> Okay, I need a
way for any information typed in my textarea to "stick" on the page in which it "posts". Since I am
creating a way for my registered users to decorate their "homepages". So any help, tutorials, etc.
would be greatly appreciated. ^^ Thanks.....
I'm not sure if it's Kaedo but it looks pretty weird (or was it Kendo?) with the black
suits. I want to learn the martial arts where you fight with a stick, what's the most done
sport where you fight with a stick? Preferably an ancient one /smile.gif"

Does anyone have any informaton on when it will be ready, they have been developing it for like 4
years its rediculous. The first game was awesome for an online rpg and im bored of waiting, how long
can it take???....
You know in Windows XP, when you press any of the reading signs like ", ', ^ etc, it will stick
to the next letter you type if its an e, i, o etc. I kinda hate this behavior, since its irritating
when you write code and stuff or if you play games it will "eat" these characters. So, does anyone
know how to turn of this behavior since I looked trough the entire Control Panel but couldnt find
anything about it. :[....
