Ok so i just created my account, all is up and running fine.
I tried to click the link at the bottom of the creation page (white background, text saying all the details, that one ), tried to log in and it wouldnt let me, i tried the password i had set for it and my forum pass, no luck
So any way, i clicked on the FTP link just underneath it and the page cannot be found :S
I went to the homepage of my site and saw the thing about going to cpanel, tried it again there and it still wont let me. It says on the page that i should check a PM, but i havnt recieved one :S
Whats gone wrong? any help would be appreciated!

read this bit the FTP is still playing up, what should the address be for the FTP, tried the usual http://ftp://www.sitename.trap17.com and ftp.www.sitename.trap17.com with no luck, what should this be?

I think the problem you mention in your last edit is due to the fact that you had "www." before "yoursite.trap17.com" with a subdomain like this you dont usually need the www. so you should simply try "ftp://sitename.trap17.com" and remember to use your CPanel login details not your forum details Should work just fine.

still no luck, when i try that format with IE i get:

And when i try it with firefox i get an alert box with:

Anonymous FTP is disabled for all Trap17 hosting accounts. You must login using authenticated procedure. Unless you have authentication profile set under your browser (which is very dangerous these days due to browser hijack and spyware) you cannot login anonymous, which is a default login procedure for all browsers.
The simplest way to solve this issue is to have FTP client rather than FTP via a browser. Trap17 Readme has two tutorials about how to set FTP client using FileZilla and WsFTP.
You can also upload and download files using your cPanel.
Also, do not put http:\\ or ftp:\\ infront of your FTP address when using a client.
When using a client all you have to type for your address is; ftp.yoursite.com. IF you made a secondary FTP account you'll need to type this for the username;
You can use a browser to upload but I have used Firefox and it seems it only allows you to download a file at a time by using the save as target function, you are not allowed to download a folder. Should you want to avoid using a client, open up your windows explorer and type the following; edit as per your own details
ftp://<username>@<url>
A message box should prompt you asking you to input your password, and after that you are good to go. I hope I managed to help you
have you tried downloading an FTP program such as SmartFTP or Filezilla? Usually that helps. Again what the other members have been saying dont put ftp:// in your ftp url unless you are setting one up in windows under Network Places.

Recently, I've been having problems staying logged in on certain forums. when i fill up my
username and password, the page reloads and goes to the member page, but when i try to click
something only applicable to members, it brings me to the guest pages and asks me to log in again.
This has happened to me on the Credit system on Trap17 and a couple of other forums as well.

Lol i went out for soccer for like my 5th year but once every one gets into junior high they dont go
out for soccer thats weird (im in junior high) So this year we only had 13 people go out so we
were only going to ave 3v3 soccer games lol but now we aren't going to even have soccer this

Over the last 3 years i have been heavily drinking alcohol due to working behind a bar in a
nightclub. i was drinking vodka, brandy, bacardi and various other spirits. over time i started to

Ok, so I have a WBR-1310 D-Link router(wireless G router). I have a mac that is connected wirelessly
with a B network card and I have a PC that is connected by a cable. The problem is, my PC keeps
losing connection every 10 minutes or so for maybe 30 seconds. Is this because of the B connection

I have been working on making a template for myspace that gets rid of all the nasty crap people put
all over. It does this by making the myspace minimilistic, so they can not add much stuff other then
what is allowed on this slim white theme. Images included so you can upload to your own host and not
have to worry about the bandwidth running out on my end. In depth read_me.txt included also. I add
to it with each update. Added a editable .png file in fireworks 8. Download count will always be a
little screwed because the download has been through email and on my web host....

Ok i have recieved as a present my uncles dell latitude x1 laptop. Its Operating system ahs been re
installed and it worked for the first few hours i had it but then it started randomly locking up and
making a weird sysren noise, and now when i try and boot it up it says that no hard drive or

Hi all, i currently am using my Sony Ericsson T610 as a modem on my laptop using a data cable on
Optus in Australia and i have been doing it for free for about a week now and it's great but it
dose have it's up's and downs. Ok using my Sony Ericsson T610 as a modem i can visit most
sites but some sites such as awardspace don't work but i found a way to get around it. If you
can't access cetain sites i just use a Proxy such as http://www.vpntunnel.net and it usually
fixes that problem, otherwise i can't access it all together. OK another problem ....

Hello, Can anyone help me? I own a Motorola Razr V3 and the only key that works is the on off
button. I have never dropped it and i take excellent care of my phones. It was working fine for a
few months and one day it just stopped working. The screen still works and I can awnser phone calls
by opening the flip part, but I can't call anyone or text or anything that requires pushing a
button unless it is to turn it on or off. I hace looked online and it seemse other people ahve had

hey everyone. I have a serious problem on my hands. Let me start here.. I started going out with
this guy a year and 4 months ago. While we were together he used to get drunk all the time and
completely hurt me.. Not physically but emotionally and mentally. Its like.. when he gets one beer
in his system he doesn't care about me or us. Everything sets him off. So I put up with him

I recently got a new computer, a NEC i-Select D5410. A few days ago it started to randomly crash,
and all inputs and outputs were cut. The monitor displayed "No Signal", the keyboard and mouse
stopped working and the speakers cut out, yet the power light remained on, and the fans were still
spinning. Opening the DVD and CD drive still worked, so it isn't a power or mobo failure, as far
