Hey everyone, I just set up my account, logged onto C panel, changed my password as per requested, and everything should be all set. But I try to connect to the ftp with Frontpage (ftp://ftp.totalwar.trap17.com/) to upload my website and I get a “The server unexpectedly closed the connection” message. Any thoughts? If it has to do with my hosting credits, I’m going to fix that today but I don’t think that’s it.

I am not entirely sure if I am right, I've stopped using FrontPage for a while now, but anyway... Try using this url for ftp access: ftp://accountname:password@totalwar.trap17.com, where accountname is your Cpanel account name and password is the corresponding password. Or you can just leave the ":password" part and it should prompt you for the pw automatically. I hope you get this sorted out, keep us posted here, and I'm sure more able members will be able to help you out  You may find this thread useful. Cheers!

If I try that then I get "the URL ftp://totalwar:0 is invalid" I'll check out the other thread once I track down WS_FTP Pro.

^^ Yeah thats right, I upload with Microsoft Frontpage without any problems. Also one u put the address (ftp://yourname.trap17.com/), a box will pop up asking for your username and stuff, and you fill that out. Also, if you have any other hosts or something, be careful because what I just mentioned above won't always work, because of Frontpage Extentions. Usually only good hosts like this one have Frontpage Extensions. And if the host doesn't have Frontpage Extensions, then don't bother putting in any of the rollover codes or something that is built in with Frontpage. Hope that helps

Turns out I thought I used the FTP, but I just check, and I use the Frontpage or Sharepoint Services (very top option), and put in the link to my site.

Oops, sorry if it didn't work. I use Konquerer when it comes to FTP transfers, and that's the address that works for me. Didn't mean to give wrong info there... Like I said, haven't used Frontpage in ages, so you might try one of the other suggestions. Come to think of it, ftp://yourname.trap17.com might be more like it. Good luck

Wow! I’ve got everything up and running now but my ordeal could practically be its own tutorial. First I tried to set up an account but could not since my forum password was not the same as my Cpanel password. Then, once I got my account set up, I had to change the Cpanel password to something else. Then I had to find out what FTP to send my front page data to since the one originally told to me was wrong. Once I realized I needed to be sending my data to ftp://totalwar.trap17.com/ I thought I was all set but then my web page wouldn’t show up. I finally needed to tell front page to send my files to ftp://totalwar.trap17.com/public_html and at last my website is up and running, or at least under construction! Thanks again everybody who helped out!

Well your problem is you have 2 ftp in the adress and you only need one. Cool site though.

Error 28 (on Phpmyadmin)
What does this error message mean? (10) I have a shopping cart system on my website. It always worked before, but all of a sudden, when I

Page Load Error When Accessing Cpanel
(0) Not sure what the issue is. I cannot even load up any of the cpanel's to allow me to put in a
password. I have tried the link that is located in the Credit System 2.0 I have tried the links

Site Down After Server Transfer

Gamma Servers' Problem
This topic is for all who have their account on Gamma Server & ha (1) Okay I see a lot of chaos all around and my site zoebelkin.co.cc is still down. Everything including
FTP, CPanel etc are down. My site is on the gamma server. I see that all the servers are moved
around a lot and the IP blocks also changing. So what is the new IP set for 'gamma'. When
doing a reverse check on gamma I see it is still assigned to it's previous IP but when I'm
trying to access the previous IP's port 80 then I get a Server not found error. Also the
gamma.xisto.com name for the server fails to open the default Apache page which it used to ....

Cannot Delete Folder After Lost Ftp Connection
permission not given to delete file (7) hello, well i had created a subdomain and was transferring files into the folder i was disconnect
from the server many times while uploading the files via ftp once when i reconnect, i saw a file
with an unusual name something starting with preftp... i tried deleting the file, but it said that
permission was not granted to do that i tired deleting the complete folder and also tried deleting
