3D polygon mesh modeler: Wings 3D - Wings 3D is a polygon mesh modeler inspired by Nendo and Mirai from Izware.
Maya Personal Edition: Nice, but leaves a massive watermark on rendered images. It still has lots of functionality of the full version though!
Gmax gmax is a free 3D modeling and animation tool based on Discreet's award-winning 3ds max.
Avid FreeDV: Perfect for students, DV camera owners, video enthusiasts or anyone exploring video editing - Avid Free DV software is an easy, free way to join the Avid family and test-drive the industry-standard editing interface used by more professionals than any other video editing solution. This version is a Vietnam POW camp diet version compared to the full version, but hey it works.
QUOTE
It's free and that's great. However, I tried to import some large (~16Gb) DV files into it that I'm working on, and it told me that it only supports .jpg and .mov imports. Plus, the interface goes to pot on a dual-screen setup; the program maximises itself to the width of both screens (grr) and all the palettes become corrupted.
Enjoy!!!

I would also recommend HandBrake. My film teacher uses it, and most DVDs to go to like 500 MB, even Star Wars, and they're still really good quality.
I have used Blender for a while now, too. I just found out that it also has a pretty good video editor, too. They call it the sequence editor. There was someone that made a really good quality lightsaber rotoscope with it, and they're supposed to be making a tutorial for it, but they're taking a while to release it.

This website has many video tutorials, not only for photoshop, but also for: - Dreamweaver -
Flash - and much more ... You can learn a lot from this video tutorials, and in my opinion,
it's better to learn from videos then from ebooks, as long as the videos have quality and are in
english, wich is the case of this website. There are some videos that are still beeing made, but
because this is one of those websites you must bookmark, you will see the videos when they are done,
but those are just a dew, and only for advanced photoshop users. No more talking, visi...
