Ok I was thinking that now many needs free security software to combat brutal viruses and trojans which enters our computers, I've decided to make a list of security software to help and make known of some security software that we all know of. This will share among us all and we can be quite rest assured to be safe on the internet.
Well, That is a great list inspiron! As far as Antiviruses and Firewalls are concerned, I am sure these are the best ones available in the market. But I will like to share one anti-spyware and I think that is one of the best tool available in the market
The best thing about this software is that it makes some changes in the registry and beleive me it is safe..very safe, I am using it personally and havent experienced any problems and because it makes some changes in the registry, we dont have to keep this software running and due to which it never puts load on the memory also...It is like having all round protection without compromising on memory load

Anyway, Spyware Blaster seemed to be created with Java language, from the hints of its domain name. If that is so, the software would probably slow down a computer during scanning. I am using Norton products now and I'm suspecting that Norton products are programmed with Java language as well. Looking at the way they load and scan the computer gave me that feeling. Well I guess Java programs always takes longer time to load?

Spyware blaster isn't actually a Spyware scanner - at least it wasn't the last time I checked. I think it's purpose is to prevent spyware from infecting your computer in the first place.
tt3 is absolutly right inspiron! It is just that the domain is javacoolsoftware...It has nothing to do with java One more thing..as tt3 has mentioned that it is not a spyware scanner..it stops spywares from installing...If you'll install this software and you visit any site which contains the spyware and tries to install on it..it will fail and the good & bad thing is that you dont get a notification!

anybody heard of spydoctor and registry mechanic?? these are good ones i use personally. now spydoctor always detects download accelerator as spyware so don't panic and dont remove it because the free dap comes with ads which is obviosuly detected as spyware, but it is safe.. cheers harshal shah

That download of Norton is illegal, you have to buy Norton, as far as I know there's no legal way to download it.
If you have Spybot and Adaware they will not "interact" with each other. It is perfectly safe to use both of them together. I think John is thinking about running two firewalls or two antivirus softwares.
Also the download.com links look a tad dodgy. I'd reccomend anyone thinking about downloading these programs should google the name and download it from the official site, to get the latest version and to make sure no one has packaged some other crapware with it.
