| | does anyone know of a decent free banner maker that allows the use of your own animated images and then allows text to be added to them....can't be one that requires a download as extra programmes usually crash my crappy system....

You could try searching in Google for "free banner templates". Then, if you have photoshop, you could add some text to it, and you're done! Easy and simple way to get a professional looking banner.

If anything, you could ask someone here at Trap17 to help make you one. And they can send you the file for extra editing, providing you have the same program that was used to make that image.

Also, have you tried GIMP? Its a free image program, it might help you, not sure exactly what you want. Here's a link http://www.gimp.org

Yeah, I had a look at the Gimp .... unfortuantely my system couldn't handle the download .... I found another free graphics tool called Photofiltre, it's OK, but it has nowhere near the capabilities of Photoshop .... if anyone else knows of better free graphics tool download, that wouldn't knacker my poor wee 350 megahertz Intel Pentium II and 96MB RAM system, I'd appreciate the info'.... or am I chasing rainbows? ....
