| | Did anyone mention Guild Wars? Sure, you have to buy the game, but there is no monthly subscription. The costumes for the characters are pretty well done. It's great if you're into PVP (player versus player) but if you want to be antisocial, you can hire henchmen as well. |

I am surprised nobody has mentioned Anarchy Online in this thread. It is a very good mmorpg. I was highly addicted to it for over 6 years. The only reason I stopped playing it is because a friend convinced me to try World of Warcraft and now Im hooked on that. I still play Anarchy Online during the weekly maintenance and other downtimes. Anarchy Online has expansion packs that you can pay for, however the free version of the game has plenty of content to keep you busy for years. The Shadowlands expansion is worth the cost, in my opinion, however once you upgrade to a paid account you have to pay the monthly fee. The good thing about having free accounts is that you can have multiple accounts for free and 'dual log' (run more than one game client at once and play multiple characters at the same time) and team up with eachother, put one character on auto /follow on the other character then go on missions, quests and just kill for experience points. You can power level your alternate characters that way. And since it's free you can make and account just for extra storage space with 'bank toons'. You really have to check it out. It's a fun game.

A good alternative to getting free WoW would be gaming lagoon. Just do some surveys and what not and they will send you a 2 month WoW card by email or through USPS or UPS

Private servers count...as fraud. All these private servers are illegal unless authorised by the game publisher and since they were not, it is unlawfull to be running such servers. Wanna play? buy it. Your money will go in to making the game better, so the less people pay, the less they get.

praise to Anarchy Online (8) There was a recent post about someone asking what good free mmo's are available for free
download. Im not necessarily going to make a list but all are welcome to do so and comment on what

Mmorpgs. My Choice Is Planeshift
(14) You have been chatting here about Anarchy and Guild Wars. Well, I didnīt know them (Iīll check them)
but here is the one I like; Planeshift. Anyone knows it? Planeshift is an RPG 3D online game. I
think itīs similar to Everquest and that kind of games (which are usually paying). But PS is free
and it is created by users (if you know to make polygons, textures, maps and things like that you
can help to develope it. If you donīt, just play and tell what would you change to make it better).
Itīs available at least in Windows and Linux and Iīm amazed of the minimal resource....

5) Click on it again (in MY SERVERS) It should start downloading, and when its done ....
