Does anybody knows that how I can get free .info domains. i really need some free domains for my personal website. Thanks in adance

Just send an email to support@1dni.com and you will receive an e-mail, follow the instructions on that email. Then email support again, this time, request/beg for a free RIN number so that you will be able to sign up for free 25 .info domains

And ask them what to do after you receive the FREE RIN Number.

All you need are 20 GOOD posts at the forum then you can apply for one year FREE dotInfo Domain.

If I am not mistaken Karlo is having problem configuring his free dotInfo domains from 1dni.com. So go to http://cybergroups.info/index.php

ya ... i've searching free domains for ages ... but there's no free lunch out there i think.
maybe u need to refer some ppl before u get that ..

y not trying a .tk or other ?

I'm a bit sceptic of that "free" domains. Why would someone give you a domain for free and on other site you have to pay for it. It doesn't make any sense to me. No one will give you anything for free, remember that... For everything good you'll have to pay (not always using money).

Free .info domains were indeed given for free. But, I believe the promotion is over now. I myself got over 30 info domains for free. The domains are free for 1 year. The point is to get people to create a website using their new free domain. After a year, it is very likely that the person will renew. That is where they will make the money and that is where the "catch" is.

I have searched a lot on the internet about free .info domain names but i have wasted my time. I don't think that there is anybody now who is giving free .info domain names. so it is better to search for some other free domains names like .tk or .co.nr

There is no DOMAIN for "FREE". Cause if there ever is it wont be fair for the people who have paid for a domain. I doubt there ever will be, but you can continue to look. If you ever find one there must be something you will need to do to get it. But good luck finding one:)

heh yeah i dont think there is no free domain...the only free domains are the only ones that make you have to advertise their aite off your site which no1 would like because it just distracts people visiting your site off to others.

some sites will give you a free domain with hosting, or give the domain for like $3, which is next to nothing. but the whole aim is to get you on thier books so that every year after you pay the full fee to renew the domain $9-$19.

Are you sure ivenms? It seems that it is not free because once you need to post topics, and a certain amount of, i wouldn't consider it free, free is when someone gives something without expecting to get something back, and that almost never exists!

Hmmm. I don't think this is a good site to be honest. You need to post like 200 forum posts and even when you qualify for getting the .info domain name, you do not have full access to the domain name system settings and configuration, you have to post to the site admin of that forum in your above link.

To change the nameservers or point the domain name to an alternate ip address, you can't just change it yourself, you have to email the settings to the admin. Even when you've done it, you don't know whether the admin has updated it all successfully until hours afterwards. This means you could have quite a bit of downtime until it's fully sorted.

Also, if you fall out with the admin of the forum, he could simply click the delete button, terminate the account or he could do something like use a redirect script on the domain so that all your visitors go to his site instead of yours.

My opinion on this free domain site, is that it's not worth bothering with. You have to post so many posts to get it and when you've got it, you then have to rely on trust. It's best to steer clear of things like this. If you want a domain, .tk's and .co.nr's are quite good.
