well .info isint really a thing i would like to have at the end of my link i would rather have .tk www.dot.tk is better then info but if i had paypal i would use 1and1 hosting cause i hear its cheap like 3 or something dollars a year or months i dont know

What do u mean by for a year ? so after that we have to pay the domain right ? ... Then if it the case its cool thought but i have no Credit card danm :S

I think it expires after the first year. And I think I know what screen you other guys are talking about, and you should only have to click the first section, about domain names. It's confusing, but there shouldn't be much of an issue there.

Wow that is pretty cool. Glad to see they are doing this. If you think about it this way, even though it only lasts for one year, they might have this deal again next year and you can just renew your domain for free. Not bad. I wouldn't recommend .tk because you really don't have much control over your domain. It is just a url mask not a real domain.

You have to enter a credit card number so that 1&1 can bill you after the first year. that's right, you get the domain free for ONE YEAR ONLY. But hey, you can get up to five of them for FREE!
Now I can have an easy to got to domain for my site as well as the site I made for my school! I love 1&1, they are a great hosting company and have dirt cheap domains. Thanks for bringing this up Dooga!!

How did you get them?
I have never seen any offer like that exept for dot.tk
.Tk is realy good b.t.w

.tk and .co.nr are not actually domains, they really are. but you cannot use them as the other top level domains. How they function is each .tk or .co.nr domain is alloted only one page, an index.html. This page contains a frame in which your site will be loaded. So the hits go to .tk not to your site. The main drawback of these domains are the pages in the site cannot be bookmarked. In .tk you can overcome this by turning off the cloak option.

I remember either them or a different site doing this before like you said. I tried it last year and it was a pretty good domain. Luckily i am old enough to have a credit card and be able to register for it. If not you can always ask your parents or someone. The only thing is make sure that you keep track of it because after that 1 year free, it automatically charges the acutal annual fee on the credit card that you put on there. Other than that it worked out for me very well, was easy to setup on trap 17's lovely servers
