i think this free magazine thing is for real. I signed up for a free Computer Gaming World subbscription, and they even linked the privacy policy from ZiffDavis.Com, I don't know them but i guess they are the publisher of these magazines. and they are not asking for credit card numbers so there would be no more worrying about them getting $$$ from us.

after signing up for a free Computer Gaming World, I clicked the link for Official Playstation and the Sign-up form has my data already so i don't have to encode everything. but the pages refreshes if you chose a country outside US, so that the STATE/PROVINCE option would be "Not in United States/Canada"

you should also unchecked those "Recieve Newsletter" things if you would not like to recieved email updates.

All I ahve to do about this is to wait. It has been more than a week now and no magazines yet. i am excited to have these free magazines. that is, if they are for real. I HOPE THAY ARE!

Electronic Gaming Monthly really does send out free subscriptions. I got mine not that long ago, it just took a while to receive it...I signed up in early January, and got a magazine early this month. I'm pretty sure that the others are also real.

a while back i got a free digital subcription to EGM but i had to have my hard drive wiped and lost the software i needed to read the magazine, i'm going to download the software soon if i can find it and read the newest isssue of EGM

I guess they will deliver fre subscriptions outside the United States. because the subscription forms include countries out side the US.

is the free magagine issue that you got hamtaro, for the month of january the one that is really for the january? or just a back issue? i wouldn't mind getting only a back issue as long as they are free.
