| | i found in www.tutorialized.com if you go to the "windows" section on the near bottom left they have like the top 10 ways in tips or whatever on how you can tweak you registry to make your computer perform faster and other possible ways. In there they also gave you a link to download a program called TCP Optimzer for you interenet connection speed...before i downloaded this client my internet connection really sucked heh...around 4000-5000 kbps and after i used it it went up 10000-12000 kbps...pretty big jump huh it really good for me.. so now when i download something like off download.com i download at 1.2 MB per second =) |

Backup your Registry before you play with any settings in there and be careful, or you could be re-loading the system from scratch. Just a warning.

What are your broadband specifications? Having a default of downloading files at 4000-5000 kbps is already extremely fast. It's quite weird to see that changing some variables in your registry can double your download speed. If that is true, will you post the exact link from the tutorial site to share with us?

Decent Computer

Can't Start Up My Computer
(6) I can't start up my computer. When I switch it on, it just goes to a blank screen, or sometimes,
it will go to the Blue Screen of Death, and the message on it changes every time, so I don't
even know how to solve it. I've gotten the Page Fault In Non Paged Area error a couple of times.
I tried to boot my computer from my Windows XP Service Pack 1 CD, but after running it and repairing
Windows XP, the problem isn't solved. I've also tried to start my computer from safe mode

Internet Connections
Can't stay connected (6) I would really appreciate any ideas/sugestions for my current computer problem. I am on dial up,
it has always been very slow, but for the past few weeks I have first off, had a TERRIBLE time

New Computer, Help With Parts?
(12) so you may have heard that my pc died a while back, i was trying to see if anybody in this forum
knew how to fix it lol. anyway, i've now decided to replace some parts in it, a simple upgrade.

Is it better? (7) What do you think of the widescreen display laptops are beginning to adopt nowadays? Is that the
right way to go? Or should we stick to our original display (800 * 600, 1024 * 768 ... etc) instead
of (1280 * 800). For me I think these widescreen display should be the way to go, it allows you

Computer Is Slowing Down And Skipping
Every program, even windows has lag.... (12) My computer has been slowly getting slower by the moment, I have no current internet connection but
I've had one before. I've ran every anti-virus program I could think off. It seemed to speed
up my computer, but only slightly in a few programs, but windows, for example display properties

Strange Thing Happened To My Computer
