Oh my god LOL! That is truely amazing though - i mean come on! To be honest, i think it might be true to some extent - as in, it might fly up into the air, but would either hit the roof, or into a glass mirror lol. Hey - it might even fly straight through your television HAHA If this is true, I will be certain to get more than one - and sneak into my sisters bed room and plant about 10 of them set to 5AM lol - see what she thinks of that!

Oh, it may be a good things. I wonder how it fly, ha QUOTE(fraudulentpeanut @ Dec 22 2005, 05:50 AM) I heard about this on a tech site a couple of days ago and I havent been able to find out anything else about it. Supposedly, it goes off in the morning and if you hit the snooze button it will fly around the room chirping until you catch it and turn it off. If anyone has any other information on this or if there is anywhere to buy it please let me know because I am really interested in purchasing one of these as I am the type of person that will just keep ihitting the snooze button.

It's obvious how it flies. If you look at it, it has a rotor with a circular halo around it (probably for support). The rotor spins and lifts it into the air. In order for a rotor that small to be able to lift the ball, it would have to be VERY light. Furthermore, it couldn't move very fast. I wouldn't worry about it causing dents or damage (it's just plastic, after all). As for being cut by the rotors, as I said, they have a halo around them that would keep one from getting fingers stuck in it, but even if one did get a finger caught, the rotors are plastic and a small electric motor can only go so fast (it wouldn't be powerful enough to puncture the skin if someone got their finger stuck in it). As for movement, the article seems to imply that it does more than just hover over it's pedestal. Since it doesn't have any visible means of changing direction, I'd assume it has a gyroscope inside of it which shifts the weight around, allowing it to hover from here to there.

true or not I will not actually buy this one, I mean what is the point of catching something flying when you're still half asleep. My technique on my alarm clock would be to put it away of my bed so that when it alarms I will need to get up, walk and turn it off, works great everytime, but of course this is only for those who cannot sleep with the alarm on, some whom I actually know can disregard the alarm clock sound and continue with their snoring lol

Well, believer, there are many things that one could use a bit of strategy/technique to accomplish, but then there's always a coolness factor with technology that performs that strategy on it's own that urges one to go out and buy it.

That is so awesome. Great for the very heavy sleeper. Of course, you would have to find out about how long it lasts on a battery and if it recharges in it's station. But overall it looks like a one of those quality and genuine sleep alarms that drive you from your sleep in the middle of the night because you set it to the wrong time or you forgot to turn it off for the weekends No, it looks cool and if I didn't normally wake up from my alarm (because I do) I would get one. Maybe you could even make it flyable with a remote control

Hehe...now that is funny Is this clock also capable of barking?? How much time people spend on stuff like this that won't help anyone... I don't hink it is a hoax but it is not that great idea after all... I am looking forward to a moment, when scientists are goin to develop robots that would go to work instead of me and I'll get paid! This is the only thing I need.. greetz

That's so cool! When my alarm goes off at seven I turn it off and then wake up at eight. I need one of those. Anyone want to send me a christmas present? That would really hurt though if you got up to catch it and it came right toward you and the propeller hit you. Talk about a flat top. lol. It would really work for me though. I hate getting up in the morning. But if I'm going sking man, I'm up at five. Really cool alarm clock!

The flying car (15) I've been following the creation of this technology for a little while but find when i talk to
others about it they have never heard of it. A company called Moller International has created a
car that can actually hover and fly. NASA has been working on a project with other agencies to work
out "skyways" for years. This creation takes use to the skyways. You drive it to a local take-off
area and dial in the phone number or the street address of where you want to go and then your off.
It is computer operated and each car has a chip that keeps every car a certain ....

(6) Did anyone hear about that flying reconnaiscense project that the american government was
developing, I heard it was a little smaller than a blue tit and had a camera, with 2 mile range. It
can even fly through buildings! - does anyone know if this awesome spy gadget actually exists?....

(21) this article is from april 17 but i just saw it today. Flying cars it talks about people building
flying machines that people will be able to use. i think it would be really cool to have your own
flying machine that you could take anywhere you want. NASA has a 'highway in the sky'
program in which they are researching this technology. also this technology might be out sooner than
many people think: QUOTE "Somewhere between 10 and 15 years, you're going to see numbers of
these vehicles out there being used," says Moller ....
