| | hey fellas!, recently i earn a job with flash com, i'm flash user, but about com i don't know too much, i need someone tell me where to begin.
what i know is that it's a kind of app server with video streaming and multicasting, capable of videochat, real time message system, and a lot of features that makes the communication between flash and server applications easier & faster.

i would say for the realtime message-system u schould use a connector in php, cause php doesn't need much bandwidh. i have one question, before i can help u... what would u do with this server, or witch apps schould run on it? like to run a chat-system or only a message-bord?

it's a kind of videochat in a dedicated channel for seminars and it needs a lot of bandwidth, the university needs it for inline conferences, thanks in advance!

issue with flash transparancy and firefox3( on linux op. sistem) (1) Can anybody help me... Unfortunately I have an issue with firefox2-3 (under linux (ubuntu)
operating sistem) and flash transparacy... The site structure is: Menu (dropdown with javascript)
and under that a big flash with wmode=transparent param enabled.. On mouse-over the menu is not
appearing because the flash hides it... With all other browsers it works. I understood that this
is a flash plugin bug under linux - firefox2-3 Does anyone has a solution?....

does anyone know how to import a flash into a webpage with transparenc (1) Hi I need some help , Im designing this website for school studies However, I made a flash drop down
menu, works perfectly, but you know how flash has a background when you export it in to a SWF file?
For example my flash is width= 800, and height = 200 but my div box on my html page for my

Flash Problem
sometimes the buttons will load the wrong link. (9) Its weird but sometimes when you hit the forums or roster button on my flash banner it will load:

mess around and click the buttons for a little bit you will notice this happening. This is a problem
because people visiting the site will sometimes click the button once and be like oh I guess the

Two Lan Ports Problem
cant connect to counter-strike server (2) here....i think i know the problem...but i cant find the solution.... I use windows XP SP 2 ...Asus
motherboard.. I use integrated Ethernet port (NVIDIA nforce controller) to connect to the hostel LAN
and used the same connection to get internet (using proxy). I played counter-strike without any
problem... Everything worked fine until i took a direct ADSL internet connection... So i installed
a separate ethernet card (INTEX rtl8139D) which i use to connect to the internet... So now i have
two LAN ports ...one for internet and one for LAN... The problem is...i cant con....

a page that has an embeded flash movie (*.swf format). The page works great when I test it on my
local server but when I post it on the net the movie (about 2 megs in size) takes a while to load.
Is there any way to stream the movie as opposed to have the browser download it all at once? Any
