I use Firefox almost all the time, except when working with my Control Panel and FTP (I'm forced to use Internet Explorer since it accepts two seperate lines, one for the loging and the other for the password). At phpBB.com, people post about bug reports and security issues all the time. Everyone can find it here: www.phpbb.com/bugs and www.phpbb.com/security
I'm very skeptical when it comes to changing code, or even adding mods to forums since it can quite often compromise some level of security. Is there any way of knowing that this code is safe? I know it's short and very brief, but still... I'm just cautious.
Do you know if these tips and tricks also work with the Mozilla Browser? Firefox is based on the same code. There are some really good bits of similar code change instructions over in the forum at mozilla.org . However, I am quite content with the default values it comes with. For those of you who want tweaks to the Firefox or Mozilla Browser, check out the Mozillazine.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. I use FF for my cPanel.
enable pipelining (by default the browser sends one request to a site by enabling pipelining it can send user defined number)]
find 'network.http.pipelining' double click it so that value becomes 'true' find 'network.http.proxy.pipelining' double click to set the value to 'true'
define number of request to send
find 'network.http.pipelining.maxrequests' set value from 15 to 30 depending on your net speed (using abnormally high values for low speed connection might actually slow you down)
turbo browsing tweak
find 'browser.turbo.enabled' double click to set its value to 'true'
finally my last tweak is to reduce the rendering time, by default the browser waits for sometime before it shows the data it recieves...by this tweak you will reduce this time to zero
right click anywhaere and select new>integer write the following preference name 'nglayout.initialpaint.delay' and set its value to '0' (zero)

Same here, I use IE only when apllying for exams at college, FF doesn't work for them, LOL.
i have had some problems with FF not acting the same as IE6 on some websites. if you log onto one of these websites with FF , then select tools/java script console , it will show you the script errors found when logging onto the website. for example when logging on to trap17 with FF it generates this error ...
fortunately this error doesnt seem to affect the appearance of the webpage. other webpages with more serious script errors stop FF from displaying all or parts of a webpage which then affect the user functionality of the webpage.
i suppose you could forward the errors to the owners of the webpage and hope that they sort out their script errors so that the webpage functions correctly in FF.
There will be a google search box at the top right corner (by default) If you have browser
Firefox, you should have and Google search box. You could not only search with this thing, but also

of windows calculator /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0"

You probably are thinking at this moment why I am posting some tricks with variables. Well, there
are many useful things a variable can do for us. For one they can actually be used to create simple
games. They also can be used to produce a random result in a page. Another great use is shoutboxes.
Well here are some cool variable effects. Adding Multiple Strings We can use strings to create
great effects. Example: CODE <?php $var1="Hello person.";
$var2=str_replace("person","world",$var1); echo $var1."

Inline complete in Firefox (or anywhere) is basically completing what you're typing. So say
I'm typing goog in my address bar. If I enable inline autocomplete, Firefox will show
google.com in my address bar because it's the closest one in my history. It's sort of like
Google Suggest. To enable this awesome feature, type about:config in the address bar of your
Firefox. Then, right click anywhere on the page, go to New -> Boolean. For the preference name,
enter browser.urlbar.autoFill , and set it to True. You're done! To test it, go to you...

select the 'Load this bookmark in the sidebar' check box. Note that the ...

What is a customized bookmark? In Firefox, when you type " google blah " (without quotes) in the
address bar, it searches Google for any sites with the word blah . You can also try " dict blah "
(without quotes), and it will search dictionary.com for the definition of blah . Now try " slang
blah " (w/o quotes). It should have given you the urban definition of blah . In this tutorial, I
