Have a look and tell me what you think about this little script I have written. The plan is to have this page on your website, at least in your web account, and when/if the Spam Bots find your account and start scanning the site, they will see this page full of randomly generated email addresses which they store into their database and when they go to use the addresses, they are all bounced back to them instead of being delivered to real email accounts. The page links back to itself, so each time you reload the page they receive another batch of false email addresses. This should effectively damage their databases so they will be corrupted by lots of bad data if enough people link to this script. I have posted all the pertinent links as a news item on another Forum I have and for those interested in assisting in fighting Spammers, please add it to any site or pages you have. For those of you interested in seeing the script, I will make the script and data files available if you want. Simply PM me. Link to the news Item: http://www.jlhaslip.trap17.com/aef102/index.php?act=news#n1Link to a sample page: http://jlhaslip.com/samples/spam/spam.phpAdd this information to an otherwise empty html page in your Hosting space and forget about it. The Bots will find it. You do not need to make the page public at all. CODE <a href="http://jlhaslip.com/samples/spam/spam.php" alt="my email list" > Email me </a>

[tutorial] About Spam/tracing E-mail & How To Avoid Spam
- (1)
QUOTE Using a case study of a e-mail I got, it's not really spam but its sort of. The
first rule is NEVER reply to spam, NEVER click the unsubscribe link and NEVER e-mail to the
unsubscribe address. These are simply underhand tactics to get 'active' e-mail addresses.
Some other tips to avoid getting spammed in the first place: 1) Never use your real e-mail
address in newsgroups, this is the best place to get picked up by a spam bot. Use something like
john-no-spam-at-i.hate.spam-btopenworld.com Then in your signature put remove -no-spam and i.ha...

Stopping Spam And Its Effects!
- (0)
Stopping SPAM and its effects ----------------------------------- SPAM or unsolicited mail usually
comes to your mailbox from 'anonymous' sources. They are most frequently as a result of you
giving out your address on a site. But your mail providers (usually) work very hard to stop these
kind of messages from clogging your limited() space. There aer many things about that, but we
won't get into those. The thing Yahoo is using right now is Yahoo's DomainKeys. Read more
about the technical details here. Here's the effects of this system... 1) Most o...

Many people don't care about email account security and just go for a Hotmail account because
it's automatically MSN compatible or a Gmail account because it has lots of space. But out of

There are tons out there. Personally, I use GMX.net, it's a German service with extremely high
security. They have a password meter to check your password for how easy or hard it might be to

the casual observer it appears to be legitimate," Gregg Mastoras, Senior Security Analyst at Sophos,
told BetaNews. If users download the "patches," they are actually installing the Troj/DS...
