| | Has anyone tried Fedora Core 4 beta versions yet, and what do you think about it? I am currently using Fedora Core 3 and love it. However, I see Fedora Core 4 is coming out very soon, but I do not have a test machine to see how the progress of the new Fedora is coming. I definately would like to upgrade from Fedora 3 to Fedora 4, but if there is not much difference in them then I would rather wait until Fedora Core 5. Anyway, any information on this would be appreciated. |

All I want from Fedora is if they are gonna fixed the X server problems that makes it SO LAGGY!!! It doesn't happen on SuSE :s! xboxrulz

There something or the other always wrong with Fedora ... sometimes the sound, other times the display. Redhat use to be so good ... god knows what happened. Try Mandrake ( madriva - new name ) Its actually really simple to use and faster than most linux destros. Cheers

Mandriva sucks! It's ridiculed w/ bugs and I simply hate it for a fact. Fedora is an experimental operating system, that is why it doesn't work as well as you want it. xboxrulz

Fedora Core

I just recently downloaded Fedora Core 4 (4CDs) and burned them to disc. When I try to boot from it
my computer just restarts. So I tried it out on another computer, worked fine and the disc passed
the test saying I could install from it. Is this a RAM issue or a CD drive issue? I tried to boot
from Knoppix too once but that failed, and guess what - it worked on the other computer. Any help
appreciated. Thanks ...

ok i am trying to partition my hard drive but it wont let me im trying to duel boot it with xp with
13gb of free space its saying i need / in the root or something i think i have another harddrive
so ill install it on that will i be able to duel boot it if i have xp on hard drive a and fedora on
hard drive b...

Ok i just downloaded the new fedora OS from the fedora website, http://fedora.redhat.com/ (I got
the dvd edition cause i didnt feel like downloading and buring 4 disc.) and i want to know if anyone
out here has used this or is planing on trying it. this is the first time i have used this OS and
was just intrested to see if anyone eles has....

hey peeps well i have been away for a while but well something jus messed up my windows system, and
yeah if you guessed right, it was windows longhorn, its a really sexy sysytem, but you gotta be
careful, so well anyway jus letting u know longhorn is out there for grabs, if you know where to
look lol,so if you wannna know how to get it, then, jus post here i'll let ya know, and if you
already have it you could let us know how its going with you....
