hi friends,

This is an Easter Egg in Microsoft Excel 97.

Here is a step-by-step guide to the 3D simulator environment..

1. Open a new worksheet and press F5.

2. Type X97:L97 and press Enter.

3. Press Tab.

4. Hold down Ctrl-Shift while you click the toolbar's Chart Wizard button (the one with the three 3D shapes).

5. A 3D flight simulator will appear. The mouse controls flight; the right button moves you forward; the left button puts you in reverse.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Access 97 or 2000

1. Open Access 2000.
2. Create a new database, or open an existing one.
3. Create a new Macro.
4. Without entering any commands, save the macro as “Magic Eight Ball” (no quotes, not case sensitive).
5. Close the macro.
6. Drag the macro you just created up to the toolbar. It will create an Icon that looks like a magic eight ball.
7. Ask yourself a question and click on it!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Access 97

1. Open Access 97.
2. Either create a new database or open an existing one.
3. Create a table
4. Save it as "Go Speed Racer Go" (no quotes, not case sensitive).
5. Select About Microsoft Access from the Help menu.
6. Right Double Click the Access logo.

See the people who brought you Access 97.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Excel 2000

1. Open Excel 2000.
2. Select Save as Web Page from the File menu.
3. Select Save Selection:Sheet and Add Interactivity.
4. Save the .htm file.
5. Load the .htm page with IE. You should have Excel in the middle of the page.
6. Scroll to row 2000, column WC. Select row 2000, and tab so WC is the active column.
7. Press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT and click the Office logo in the upper-left.

If you have DirectX, you will be taken to an arcade-style racing game. Use the arrow keys to drive, space to fire, O to drop oil slicks, and, when it gets dark, H for headlights. Go ahead, indulge that road rage!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FrontPage 97, 98, or 2000

1. Open FrontPage (in FrontPage 98 or 97, open FrontPage Explorer).
2. Press and hold Shift.

3. Select Macro from the Tools menu, then Macros from the submenu.
4. In the Macro Name: box, type "OL2KRocks" (no quotes).
5. Click Create.
6. The About Microsoft Outlook dialog box appears.

WOW, these are really cool, I didn't know Microsoft were exciting enough to put some games into their software. Anyway, I like the racing game, and the magic eight ball is funny, as always tongue.gif

Yes, that sounds really cool. Unfortunately, I do not own any of that software; I only have Microsoft Office 2003. Do any of you know of any easter eggs for the programs included in the latest edition of Microsoft Office?

Reply

Yeah.. I wonder if such tricks available in Office 2003...
Hey for those who are able to do the trick on your version of Office, can you do a screenshot for us to see...
Although we cannot do it in Office 2003, we all are still interested in seeing these "secrets" at work...
