Well first of all this with this topic I want to make like a little community of tech-fans so here we can post what we know about technology maybe some other things like anime.
Second thing it's to post something new I'll try to put all that I know so I hope this forum help you.
Now I'll ask somethings to you:
- Which is the best webbrowser??? ( for me it's mozilla firefox) - Wich next generation console it's the best for you?? (ps3, x-box 360, nintendo revolution) - Wich it's the best software for edit images and create layouts???
Notice from BuffaloHELP:
Spelling is important especially for a topic title.
Nailed it right on the head. But Fireworks does put up good competition. And Opera for firefox. But ps3 is really the console winner. Fireworks has good userfriendliness, but if you are an expert at either, photoshop beats it out. And Opera and Firefox are very similiar, although I am a big firefox advocate.
Please, only one discussion per topic. This prevents from hijacking a particular thread and focus on one solid discussion at a time. And if you took the time to search the forum, you would have found all your three discussion materials have been started way before.
I have seen on You tube some have placed small wireless video cams on RC airplanes. Does anyone here
fly RC planes or jets? Years ago, I did some storm chasing and spotting, and have always loved
tornados. With all the storms in the middle USA now a days I have had some crazy thoughts of mixing
chasing and Radio Controled air planes. I have searched all over the net, and still are to find
anyone that may have thought about are doing this. Been to a few weather forums and nobody has a
clue. I had thought that maybe here someone would be able to point me to the right pers....

QUOTE Overview: Surface is essentially a Windows Vista PC tucked inside a table, topped
with a 30-inch reflective surface in a clear acrylic frame. Prices will reportedly be $5,000 to
$10,000 per unit. However Microsoft said it expects prices to drop enough to make consumer
versions feasible in 3 to 5 years. Surface is a 30-inch (76 cm) display in a table-like form
factor, 22 inches (56 cm) high, 21 inches (53 cm) deep, and 42 inches (107 cm) wide. The Surface
tabletop is acrylic, and its interior frame is powder-coated steel. The software platform r....
Cryogenics are the future, with the power to freeze ourselves we can sleep and not age one bit, we
can also wake up thousands of years into the future, we won't have to listen to loud noises and
stuff and we can dream for as long we like. Think about it, the power to sleep for as long as you
like. You have an incurable virus so freeze yourself and wait for scientists to find a cure.
you're living on a cargo ship and it takes 10 years to get to Earth but you don't want to be
old and wrinkly by the time you get there so freeze yourself Be an ice sculpture for a....
QUOTE THIS MAY SOUND incredible but the way technology is growing this will shortly be possible.
Research by Sammy Phang, Queensland University of Technology’s Faculty of Built Environment and
Engineering scholar, helps overcome one of the final obstacles to application of iris scanning
technology to unlock our homes, access bank accounts and log on to our computers. Of all the
biometric technologies used for human authentication today, iris recognition is thought to be the
most accurate. Iris is an externally visible coloured ring around the pupil of every human eye....
What do you think of wireless. It's secure? , safey ? , or not !! When using wireless

QUOTE A 13 year old Vietnamese boy was arrested yesterday for allegedly strangling an 81 year
old woman to death. According to the local police, Dinh The Dan "confessed that he needed money to
play online games and decided to kill and rob the woman". The woman, Mai Thi Mau lost her life for
100,000 dong (around Rs. 244). After strangling her with a rope, Dan buried her in a pile of sand in
front of his house. The saddest part is that is that he won’t even go to prison!
Here’s what a local policeman had to say – "He is too young to be put in pr....
Yes you heared it correct (or to be precise you read it correct) modular computer by designer. Well
you probably ask yourself now what the hack is modular computer and by designer. Well it is normal
computer made out of parts so you will not have one tower but you will have very different sections.

QUOTE This article series will focus on “Windows SteadyState” – a completely free toolkit from
Microsoft that helps administrators take control of shared access computers running Windows XP. This
article series will include a short introduction to the possibilities we get with Windows
SteadyState (WSS). We will look at the new version compared to older versions, system requirements,
Windows Disk Protection (WDP). If you have ever managed shared access computers, like computers in
schools, public libraries, Internet cafes, kiosk machines, etc, you probably know how h....
The marvels of technology surprise me to this day. Like my new MP3 player for example. It's a 1
gig, and it's smaller than my index finger. Or my newest phone, is like half the size of my old
one, with a camera, more features, and four times as much space for downloads. iPods are mildly
annoying in their marvel. They're tiny, but hold so many songs. Like the iPod nano, which holds
1, 2, 4 or 8 gigs depending on the generation. The marvels of technology amaze me. It makes me feel
old not just to remember cassette tapes, but to own a cassette player and cassett....
Nikola Tesla was one extraordinary man. The city of Buffalo was once his play ground for his ideas.
But due to many undocumented feuds with Edison (yes the very one) Tesla's contribution to
electricity world went less than well notice... that is until now. Tesla worked on transmitting
mass volts across the distance without the aid of clumsy wires. Let's face it, the power poles
and loosely hung black wires across your block are just an eye sore. But Tesla's methods were
quickly overshadowed by Edison's quick and easy solution--run wire grids to provide e....
Hi, I'm looking for advice. I'm looking to get a new laptop. It will replace my current
desktop. Bascially it will primarily be used around the house, and occasionally for travel about
7-10 times a year (including at airports, on planes, etc). I got my last laptop back in 1999 so its
been a while. I'm looking at: Dell XPS M1710 (GeForce Go 7950 GTX) or Alienware Aurora
mALX I have looked at cnet and both of the vendors sites, but i'm still not sure. Does
anyone have any suggustions? the cnet review hinted that the mALX may loose position wi....
A team of reserarchers at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK, has begun a progject to
devise a system for lip reading using computers.. The system would take a video taped conversation
and convert it to text. This technology will become a valuable tool for crime fighting, security
and a host of other applications such as mobile phone cameras and in-car speech recognition. This
futuristic system will replace the people who can read lips, such people are shrinking in numbers
and even they are no always precise. The real challenge is getting an accurate compute....
Computers and their Future in Our Future What kind of role do you think computers will play in the
future of the world? I know that computers are already implemented in allot of today’s technologies
like our cars, airplanes, school databases and more. But what else do you think computers will be
involved in? I think that in the future, computers will be implemented allot more into the daily
lives of everybody. I mean this because the information highway is growing in great numbers! And
since the information super highway is growing, I think that the use of the de....
Here it is, the new BLU-RAY disc, the next generation of optical media that should replace DVD's
on the market. Some movies are already being sold at DVD and BLU-RAY format, although prices here
in Europe still are around 300€ to 500€ for a table BLUE-RAY reader, more or less the same a DVD
player costed when it arrived at the market. Some laptops are coming with BLUE-RAY too although they
cost around the same amount. I would like to hear your opinion about this new technology and for
those who don't know it yet here I post a link for your information: BLU-R....
It's funny to say but, it can happen if technology will get smarter and smarter then computers
might talk back to us and get angry almost like shown on Irobot when the robots take over..should
this be stopped? Or are we just going to make stuff too advance /huh.gif"

well, i sure that you recently heard about LCD and Plasma monitors, but .... do you know whats the
diference between them, well, its HUGE and you must be very careful if you are going to buy one of
these: QUOTE 1- Life span, the number of viewing hours a monitor provides before dimming to
half brightness, is one of the biggest advantages LCD has over plasma. Though the numbers vary among
the different brands, plasma displays generally offer around 20,000 hours, while LCD sets last for
up to 50,000 hours. Point for LCD QUOTE 2- One of plasma technology'....
This is not about computer but it is still electronic. Has anyone have seen the Anti-Crash
Technology in RC planes yet? It uses sensors to "sense" the ground-and-sky orientation of the plane
so newbies crash less often. I just have my plane today it ACT works awesome. It's like an
autopilot system preventing me from crash and burn!....
I have recently downloaded a VoIP free service (Voice over Internet Protocol, computer-to-computer
chatting) called GloPhone ( GloPhone , and find that it ROCKS! GloPhone gives you a free
telephone number from the USA and allows you to call any other person using GloPhone by typing in
their telephone number. Also, for a low cost, you can purchase a plan that allows your computer to
send a call to any actual telephone in the USA or Canada. However, GloPhone is not the only VoIP

Me again:)Searching the web for my science news thirst i've stumbled over some words about
refocusing of blurred photos, method and technology developed at Stanford University. The primordial
use would be in sports where each photograph ca't be re-photographed or surveillance systems.Of
course even an non-profesional photographer could take advantage of this technology:).It's
better described at this adress: http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/200...s-sap110905.php ....
Hey guys have you heard about OLED? Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) technology An OLED is
an electronic device made by placing a series of organic thin films between two conductors. When
electrical current is applied, a bright light is emitted. This process is called
electrophosphorescence. Even with the layered system, these systems are very thin, usually less than
500 nm (0.5 thousandths of a millimeter). When used to produce displays, OLED technology
produces self-luminous displays that do not require backlighting. These properties result in thin,
very ....
I have read in the news paper, a local news here in the philippines that during the convention at
singapore, Bill Gates says "New technology soon to be implanted in the human body, but I will not
try this experimentation in myself.." Is it possible the somebody is working to implant computer in
the human body? Wow,,, very interesting, but do you think this will help us? if the computer is
inside our body, what does the computer do? maybe instead of using our mind the computer will think
for you... ha ha ha... that will makes us a robot... If this will happen, if bill g....
I really despise high school students that can learn real computer skills in their school; part
because my school's computer program is crap. Anybody can use the computer better than the
computer teacher, and most of us don't even get a computer class. The result? Half of my
classmates doesn't know how to use Excel or Powerpoint. Most of them hardly know what Photoshop
is. Technology is progressing at a really high rate, and it is becoming a big part of our lives.
You're basically disabled if you can't use a computer. So why doesn't high school ....
Reading Slashdot , some days ago, found an article about a simulation of the human brain called
Blue Brain . The interesting thing is, could we someday completly emulate the human intelligence?
What about feelings? sensations? Is there a good software to generate and use Artificial Neural
Networks? I know some of them but are dificult to use, like SNNS from Stutgart. ....
i wanna know what software, that is free, we should have on our microsoft computer!! things
like alternatives to powerpoint (openoffice) etc. post your opinions, and maybe even top 10
lists!....
Sony patents 'real life Matrix' Obviously the news report has been hyped up to a large
extent, but this patenting is ridiculous. QUOTE The patent - based only on a theory, not on
any invention... I mean, how the hell can you patent a theory...? Does that mean I could go
off and make a patent on something currently in development and yet not fully developed and have
exclusive rights to the technology or what? And does that mean they have exclusive rights to that
technology? (I think so, but then, I'm not an expert in IP law) Anyway, this is ....
QUOTE The technology behind Google's great results As a Google user, you're familiar
with the speed and accuracy of a Google search. How exactly does Google manage to find the right
results for every query as quickly as it does? The heart of Google's search technology is
PigeonRank™, a system for ranking web pages developed by Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin
at Stanford University. PigeonRank System Building upon the breakthrough work of B. F. Skinner,
Page and Brin reasoned that low cost pigeon clusters (PCs) could be used to compute the re....
I happen to come across some cool technology for integrating AI scripts into your website. Quite
