| | Most High schools in New Jersey have video cameras and other ways to keep track of the student. Typically one will get caught for doing such a think, however I have skipped my 1st and 2nd period classes a lot in the past. Usually in my particular high school and student must attend a saturday class for 4 hours for skipping class, as in leaving the building. Being late does not count. |

No, I do not skip classes. There are sometimes when I will rather stay at home than go to school but that's only once or twice a year. On my school it's kind of important that we take all classes, and that we... well, that we do not come late to class. They write down the exact minutes we where gone, so it's quite weird. But I think it is good. I haven't skipped one class this year, and I have always been in time for class. The school that I will be trying to get into next year is really strict, and it's said that they care a lot about if your in time or not, skip classes or not, is a lot of sick or not. Well you get the idea.

Very funny topic. Well, in our school, our school is very strict when it comes to skipping classes. For example, I didnt attend my Language subject and I just stayed and eat in our canteen! But here, we do not call it as skipping classes, here it is called or known as cutting classes. It's kinda weird but it is the same as skip class. Hmmmm, as far as I know, I skip class for the past past past day because our teacher, tells something to the selected students to have a meeting neither it's already recess time. After the meeting it's already discussion time. Well, I didnt go straight in to our classroom but I go ahead in the canteen and eat my recess! lol... -Amiel

Where I'm from we call it skipping or cutting, same thing. I've personally only skipped class a few times, and mostly only when I can justify it (I was tired and wanted to go home, I was getting sick) but it's always fun. I never skip classes unless I know we're not going to be doing anything in them, because otherwise I miss work which is a pain to make up later.

No, I havnt ever skipped class. I dunno why, Im just a bit of a Nerd One time me and my friends 'Kinda' skipped class. We had been eating our recess behind one of the buildings and we were talking, then I looked around the corner and said, 'Where the heck is everyone?'. Turned out, the bell had gone a good five minutes earlier and we had been blabbering during the begining of our Drama Lesson. LOL. Not really the true skipping, but skippng all the same ♥Evo

I don't usually skip because the school has a new way of detecting truant students. The send a peice of paper to all the teachers and it says which students missed a period(s) the day before and you won't be admitted to class. They send you to the office to get an Admit Slip and you can't get one without a note from home or they talk directly to your parents. I would be screwed if my parents caught me skipping I always go to a different lunch for 10 minutes by saying I need to go to the washroom

Skipping lesons is dumb to be honest. Your only missing out on learning. But i'd rather people who don't want to learn leave the class then make noise within the class. Man, I hate school .

I never skipped a class, unless I'm sick or some important things to do outside school. School fee isn't free. So, why pay to get out class?

I don't think I've ever skipped class. I go to a public high school which gives me a whole bunch of opportunities to skip, but I just don't. There was this one time that I ditched class early toward the beginning of my freshmen year. The teacher got all mad and wrote me up for defiance. That was a really bad experience. My tip to anyone who does skip class is - If you're going to ditch class, don't ditch in the middle of it. LOL I never found a good reason to ditch class. The high school is providing me with an education so I might as well take it. And the worse part about not showing up is making up all that work that you missed.
