I searched the FAQ's and the forum but didn't find anything that may answer this query so I
am posting it here so other having this problem may benefit from it here. When I was creating the
account I found out that using special case character in the passwords was not allowed when creating
the hosting account. I didn't use any of the special case character in my hosting account but
the system was generating invalid username and password for the forum too. Since special case
characters and Alpha-numeric boats high security in passwords I use them on the forum...

I know that there are lots of great tutorials on the forums, but there's still a world of
information out there yet to be Trapped. I think having a request tutorial thread might inspire our
members to impart some of their vast knowledge. Sometime, it's hard to realize what you're
good at until someone asks the right question. Since tutorials are screened anyways, there's
less chance of someone simply plagiarizing from another website. ...

Interesting I dea I just came up just from reading an article, anyways since google is on the riase
and their recent purchase of youtube.com it could be a good idea to add youtube ot the forums,
because then people can post their favorite videos and even their own. I have a feeling that some
members have uploaded their own videos to youtube....

Why are we not given the option of being able to edit the title or description? Like lets say I give
a post a bad title or bad description we could go back and fix it before being busted by one of the
mods? So what gives?...

Well I have a couple of new forum ideas for here... First is InvisionFree Skinning. Since
Invisionfree is IPB but just a way older version, I think it would be nice for a section of
invisionfree skinning. This would be a great addition to the graphics community, and it might just
boost up activity considering that there could be a database, and since invisionfree has over 1
million users using it, then it would be intresting to have rare skins here. Then people would be
able to critique another part of skinning. I'd be willing to chip in a few tutorials, and things...

I poked around and didn't see a gardening or cooking forum at the Trap. Maybe someone could
point me in the right direction if I somehow missed them. If not, these are HUGE topics that take up
an entire forum in and of themselves. I noticed a fair interest in cooking at this site while
creeping around the "What's Your Favorite Food" post, so if it isn't here already, cooking
would make a great forum. I noticed that post garnered an incredible amount of interest. Food is
integral to our lives, so may as well have a forum dedicated to it in all it's wonderf...

I think all the forums on here should have post count because like in entertainment why is there no
post count???whats wrong with talking about movies and stuff? I find it sometimes hard to think up
something to post on the current forums and I want to be able to get credit for the forums that I
can think of stuff to put on. Who else thinks we should have post count on everything?...

To cut down on spam at IPB Gaming I installed a nice little mod that forces a member to post a

Well, i was just looking for a thread to post my new topic on but i didnt find a right thread. I
think you guys should make a new thread called" How do you.." You can reframe it but, the thread
should be for people where they can ask questions, to be answer by t17 members. Like i just posted a
new topic asking how do you take a video of your desktop? i end my case /tongue.gif' border='0'

The only forum i see mising is html, php, javascript, etc. help forums, i would like to use these
and tell prople not to post sorce but to link to a html file with the source instead so these
aren't abused. Like the idea?...

I've noticed that music, creativity, entertainment forums are "No Post Count". Now I can
understand, you dont want somebody to post a 4 page essay and get credits for it. But there are a
lot of serious critquing (sp?) going on in there, that deserve credits. I come to this site, and
Music, and Creativity are two subjects that I can comment on intelligently, and originally. With
the others forums, I'm just saying things that people already know, since my knowledge of
computers and technology is late, or fundamental. And since the point of the credits is to post &...

In my forum control panel I selected the option to hide my email address from other members.
However, I have noticed that in all hosting requests, upgrades etc my email is there for everyone to
see. This of course is the same for everyone requesting hosting. I understand it is necessary for
the admins to see the email addresses to process the applications, but perhaps you could make it so
only moderators and admins can see these posts? That way those of us that want to keep our email
addresses hidden are not 'exposed' as such. I doesn't bother me that much...

I want to thank the moderators and founders of this web hosting company. Its really an awesome
service and a great way to save money. Thanks! I just would like to make a suggestion to the
already GREAT Trap 17 service. I would just like to ask if its possible to add the following forums.
A forum about Music, TV, Computer Games, Counsel games. Also I could like to know if its possible
to maybe add a spell check mod onto the boards. Also could it be possible to make a forum that is
based on the web hosting only like... pre-hosting questions... Server Questions.... T...

Ok, now before I start i realise I do not know much about forums or a free hosting company. However,
it has come to my attention that the forums don't run that quickly compared to other sites. This
is especially noticable on 56k connections, and gets quite frustrating when you're trying to
post. Looking at your source code, I can see there are approximately 2100 lines of code per page.
I know this is server-side generated, but 1360 of those lines are an internal css tag that is
present in every document. Why not, then, just have this as a 1 line link to an e...

Uhm... I just have noticed that the Entertainment forum is now "no post count" and I just wonder
why. I mean... if we try to make a community its not logical to give that kind of posts less value
that the others. Donīt know about the rest but I donīt feel that a community is a place where I ask
about css and php and get answered. Thatīs very good but when we really get to know each other is
talking about what kind of movies or music we like because these things says much more about our
personalities. In my case, Iīm a great music fan... and even my website on trap17 is ...

Well, as we have to post to keep our hosting accounts I thought it would be easier to maintain if we
had a few more forums to post in. Like maybe a few more game forums. Just a suggestion....

This is a suggestion, i'm sure it would attract a lot of visitors. Bring in a tv show forum
with a sub forum 'smallville, simpsons etc'. I know i would rush to the smallville forum
and post a review on the episode every week if anyone'd missed it... It's a very good idea

don't really go towards our post count....

I cant remember if trap17 had ads on the left of whatever, but if your not gonna put anything there
u guys should adjust the ipb wrapper width through the css style to 100%...

There are way too many mods on these forums! What the hell is the "army system" and the
"reputation"? Do they serve a purpose? Or are they just frivolous crap that's not really needed?
What is the point of the RPG thing or the arcade? They are just excess baggage that the forums would
be better without! These forums are way over-crowded with ads (thank god I have Norton so I never
see them). I turned it off one night and counted like 7 ads per page! I know this is an ad-supported
service, but what is the point of having that many ads if most people block them and ...

I think we should have a TV AND MOVIE FORUMS...
