QUOTE(thebluekirby @ Apr 2 2005, 03:26 AM) i like windows xp. proably because it's the only type of computer i've tried . i have a virus block thingy, so i don't worry about those. and my computer goes sooper fast, and i like that basically, i don't think theres anything wrong with windows XP I like windows xp too, but when it comes to the used of computer services windows xp are limited to that.. like using you hard drive to another computer it really wont work, so in my part, I used windows 98 when I do computer service, repair and diagnostic, because hardisk with windows 98 installed on it can be transferred from one cpu to another so when you diagnose hard ware device I advice to use windows 98, and that is the reason why I'm using two operating system right know xp is for my personal stuff, and windows 98 is for other purposes.

Enjoy? mmmmmmmm i put no comment as to me its just an OS and provides no thrills and nothing to enjoy. But as far as userbility and function, its not a bad OS. but i certainly wouldn't say i enjoy using it or not. . . . as i generally take out my anger and blame windows when something majorly cacks up

Enjoy using XP? Yeah, I sure do... In my opinion, XP is a great Operating System for gaming given that I am a gamer. It supports most game available in today's market and furthermore, games can be run flawlessly unless there are some hardware problems. There are several complaints on XP though, as many people have known, Windows is fragile and can easily be attacked from outside. Thus, we need to put up for another extra cost in buying an anti virus. With the price tag on the Operating Software, it really burdens me to buy an anti virus. XP in my opinion, is good but costly and fragile to attacks. Maybe the Microsoft company can lower the price a little bit. Second complaint is that XP is not very good for high quality image or graphic designing. I may be a gamer but I am also a graphic designer. When I am going to use Photoshop plus several extra plug ins, the program is loaded so long, I can walk accross the hallway to get a drink before coming back to my PC. I mean it is very long, well, I am using 512 MB RAM and 2.0 GHZ processor, it should be enough. Maybe the plug ins are too many, but shouldn't XP be ready for that? Hmmm...I guess there are several other concern about XP but little not that important, still I will always use windows because it is the gaming operating system. For games, XP rulez!!!!

Well, here is the thing Windows XP is better than other windows because it does everything for you.; However, i do belive it had alot of bugs when it first started off. With service pack 2 XP seems ot be much more faster and deffinetaly secure. I am a big windows person because my first computer has "98" on it and now i have advanced to XP (Which is a great operating System). 98% of whe world uses Windows as there operating system. Here check out this new operating system. It is called "Long Horn" http://www.winsupersite.com/reviews/longhorn_alpha.aspthis new operating system is still in testing and i don't know when it will be released but htye say it has a lot of bugs..... can't wait to see it when it comes out

I enjoy using it but it could be cool if we could select a different template or make your own. Pretty cool for me I would put coasters anyway back to subject. Windows is probably going to have a other one in the next couple years as windows xp just about over I say. We have to wait and see.

I use XP Professional and i'm happy(not much, but still) with it. There are plenty of bugs and rebugs and we need to be updating all the time for some new bug/security fail or something like that, but i don't find software as easily with any other operating system. All my work and pleasure applications run in XP and not in Linux or 98... But the end is near...i'm afraid my portable computer won't qualify for another service pack or operating system update...after Service Pack 2 everything went on really slower

I've been using Win2k for quite some time, then I switched to xp pro, now I'm back to 2k... Don't know, seems qiute more stable than xp (tends to crash a smaller number of times), even though xp looks much better (using for all the fancy graphics a considerable amount of RAM... don't forget it!). Sure I enjoy it, but i think i'll stick to 2k... until i learn how to use linux properly!

I dont mind using Windows XP, but XP is intended for a decent computer. Theres parts of Windows XP that arent designed to well, for instance, Luna. I think it was a bad idea to design such a complex theme, mainly because people are used to the previous looks of Windows. They should default to the classic look when installing Windows XP. I dont mind the redesigned start menu, epecially when it is organized properly, it is extremely useful. Theres options like System Restore that really take a huge amount of unneeded disk space. If everything drastic happens to a computer, I would reformat and that would fix all of the problems. Service pack 2: I dont like it to much, and as I said, its intended for a decent computer. The only feature I like is the wireless utility. There has been quite a lot of incompatibilities with Software and Drivers, and I dont want to take a risk, just incase anything happens. In the long run, I think XP is a decent operating system. All OS' have their Pros and Cons

Enjoying Windows XP? Are you kiddin' me? It's ridiculed with bugs, viruses and a service pack 2 that degrades or destroys your machine! WinXP is the most bloated OS I've ever encountered. I use Linux, not bloated and definately not ridiculed with bugs and have service packs that are not machine degrading or destroying. I am part gamer, so I use Linux to the best of my gaming, if Cedega can't emulate it, then I use Windows. Even in the case of Windows; Win2k SP4 is faster and much stabler than WinXP. After 6 months testing, the results are from worst to best Windows OS: Win ME Win 3.1 and lower Win 95 Win 98 Win XP Win 2K and of course Linux is better than Win2K except for Mandriva (formerly Mandrake). xboxrulz
