this has been talked about a million times before. the edit button has been remove to prevent spamming. if you type a bunch of <<removed>> and the edit it to have something senseible you could get a lot of points.
I've had the following happen to me twice within the past few days: I struggle with a problem
for three or four hours. Eventually I give in and post asking for help. While I wait for the help
I continue working on the problem. An hour or two down the road I figure out the issue on my own.
As such, I no longer need the topic I created. I'd like to delete it so as not to waste
people's time (and clutter up the sub forum), but I don't have the privileges to do so.
Being able to delete your own topics would allow users to self moderate, and cut down on....
Why are we not given the option of being able to edit the title or description? Like lets say I give
a post a bad title or bad description we could go back and fix it before being busted by one of the
mods? So what gives?....
Hello gy's I was googling my links today, because my php forum told me google had visit. And
gues what it found me true trap17 forum. I think it woud be usefull for creating a topic for your
links. Yust post them in there and update your post everytime. Trap17 gives users a way for posting
there links on google and other serch machines, and that way inproving the service really a lot. For
users that don't get serch submission they can do this. And you can help them get visitors to
there forum. Woud be great if you accept this idea. proof: http://www.google.nl/....
I don't know about other people, but when i choose to subscribe to a topic I always choose the
same exact method of notification (in my case, none at all). It'd be rather nice to have an
option to set a predefined choice in order to cut down on all the needless repitition. Certainly not
a huge problem, but it'd be nice. It'd also be nice if the topics you subscribed to were
listed on the mainpage of the control panel. It already lists recently viewed posts (which is kinda
pointless in my humble opinion), so why not add that as well? Thankyou for you....
Like most other forums this forum should have the option to edit the poster's posts ......as i
realized today i was posting a post and by mistake i clicked on the add reply button which caused
it to get posted...i wanted to add more stuff in it so if there was an option to edit posts i could
have edited and added all the comments necessary so i feel that it should be added in the forums..to
make it more comprehensive /biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle'
alt='biggrin.gif' /> I hope this post might have helped this forums Thanks /smile.gif....
I think we should have a section for things that you would find in "MAKE Magazine" and stuff, I
think it would be a nice addition to the site, sense the forums are about tech stuff. I think it
would be cool to post resources, how-tos, etc. Mabie we could do something like the Trap 17 GFX
crew, exept with that kind of stuff. What do you think? Title editted to remove word which is not
desirable for promotion on this forum. You should be aware of the TOS. ....
I don't have the hack for it, or either it needs to be enabled for users and not just
moderators. Users should be able to edit their own posts, like if they left something out, or mis
spelled something or made a grammar mistake. I'd like some feedback.....
I am sorry if this has been suggested before, but it would be good if you allowed the users to edit
their posts... I don't feel comfortable posting again because I forgot something or wanted to
change something....
Hello, I have a suggestion you should put an edit button..oops i did something wrong i have to post
it again or if posting again its ok then no prob /wink.gif' border='0'

I think trap17 should get an edit post feature, it'll limit the number of spamming. When I mean
spamming I mean posting 2 times in row, I just read a topic where the started post 3 times in a row
excluding the starter post. If we had an edit feature then there would be no need to post so many
time a person could easily just edit there post with a remark used below: ORANGINAL POST HERE...
Edit: TEXT HERE... Regards, Brionne.....
hi i was just wondering if you could maybe add an 'edit' button to the bottom of each post.
this would be useful, as just recently i was posting in the warcraft III topic in the gaming/rts
subforum and i forgot to say something and so had to post twice. maybe just make it so that if
someone has already posted after your post it is uneditable, but until that happens you are free to
change it. thanks for considering! /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle'
alt='smile.gif' /> ....
Ok so your happily posting and you hit the post button too many times because your internet is slow.
We can't delete our own posts so we have to let a mod know. Or you want to add to your post. I
personally think this is kind of a good idea because it will help the forums run more smothely if
people can edit or delete their posts. What do you guys think?....
I've seen too many Netbux topics and it's driving me nuts. Newly registered people post a
new topic and shove referral links into our faces. Maybe there should be a single pinned topic for
people who want to advertise their referral links. I've seen many people make a new Netbux
topic, say what it does, and shove their link. I suggest that the topic will be about people
stating why you should use their referral link. Plus, in a single topic, the people won't have
to be persistent and make you want to use their referral link LESS. Those Netbux-Referral....
I know you guys kinda labelled me as a "heretic" already, but here goes. My suggestion is that all
users get EDIT permissions. I know that I've double/triple posted before, or had to post
something again to fix it, and I'm sure many other users are having the same problems. I'm
sure having the ability to edit one's posts will greatly reduce spam and overposting. I can see
no real reason why we -shouldn't- have editing permissions, since it's not likely to cause
any turmoil or chaos. So my question is, why not? Please don't flame me for makin....
I've noticed that there is no edit button for our posts, this is really frustrating if we make a
mistake with out posts and have to double post to correct it. It says in the rules that there is
one, but looking around for about 3 minuites, I cant find one. What's with that?....
I think we should put back the EDIT your own post button so we can fix mistakes and the delete your
own post button just incase we double posted. This would help the admins and moderators alot.
