| | I don't have the hack for it, or either it needs to be enabled for users and not just moderators. Users should be able to edit their own posts, like if they left something out, or mis spelled something or made a grammar mistake.
I'd like some feedback. |

I agree with Hiaito. I just had to send two error reports to the moderator for two tiny spelling errors that I made. An edit button would be helpful and might even lighten the load for moderators.

Yeah, sometimes, we just forget to put in quote tags, we should be able to edit it. We shouldn't be able to edit everybody's post, just ours.

The staff has disabled it for one reason or the other, but in every other forum (Invision, phpbb, v-Bullitin, etc) has an edit button. I believe this forum was hosted by InvisionFree; IPS.

A "save As Draft" Button
saving your topics or posts for later editing (13) i realized while typing earlier i had the urge to find a "save as draft" button. i guess i was so
fixated with my blog. but anyway, my point is what if the forum was to include this feature so
whatever you write, you could save them for posting later on. i was thinking maybe some people would
have some stuff to do and they have to shut down the computer (not everyone can leave their computer
on, and that would be a waste of energy), but they have already written their topics/posts.
moreover, some people would have second thoughts in posting their topics so they could sav....

Edit title and description? (3) Why are we not given the option of being able to edit the title or description? Like lets say I give
a post a bad title or bad description we could go back and fix it before being busted by one of the
mods? So what gives?....
Report Button On Shout Box
(4) I think that we could do with a report button..because recently there have been many weirdoes around
here that post things that they shouldn't be posting...so maybe someone can make a script and we
can have a report page just for the shout box...designed just for the shoutbox.... for example i
know it cant be like a topic where there is automaticly a report button there, but maybe we can make
a page on the forums that is exactly like the normal report page and it does the same thing (sends
it to all mods and admins) just a thought....

We Should Have An EDIT Option (1) Like most other forums this forum should have the option to edit the poster's posts ......as i
realized today i was posting a post and by mistake i clicked on the add reply button which caused
it to get posted...i wanted to add more stuff in it so if there was an option to edit posts i could
have edited and added all the comments necessary so i feel that it should be added in the forums..to

Some Kind Of "make It Yourself" Section
for *edit*, circut bending, kits, etc. (0) I think we should have a section for things that you would find in "MAKE Magazine" and stuff, I
think it would be a nice addition to the site, sense the forums are about tech stuff. I think it
would be cool to post resources, how-tos, etc. Mabie we could do something like the Trap 17 GFX
crew, exept with that kind of stuff. What do you think? Title editted to remove word which is not
desirable for promotion on this forum. You should be aware of the TOS. ....
Trap17 Suggestions
a button and topsites 4 trap17 members (5) I have some good Ideas. I think we should have a button on the top of the forums that brings you
back to the forum index. Also, I think we should have a topsites list for trap17. There are many
good free ones out there, and I think it would be amazing. Think of how we would think of other
members? Joining would be optional. It would iclude the top 10 and baners for them in a nice little
table, and the rest can upload or provide an icon to the left if they are in the top 50, and the
rest are shown on a seperate page. What do you guys think of these ideas?....

improve trap 17 site (4) Hi, did a quick search but could not find any thread on this, a general suggestion thread on layout
improvements. so I hope I am not trotting on anybody's food here. If, please excuse, and basch

to make it as quick, and as sweet as possible, rather unlike the explanation and introduction to
this post. So, my question? Why is there no home button at the top of the screen. When I want to
go and check my credits, or just go back to the top of the pile and look at all the....

Edit Post Feature
(1) I think trap17 should get an edit post feature, it'll limit the number of spamming. When I mean
spamming I mean posting 2 times in row, I just read a topic where the started post 3 times in a row
excluding the starter post. If we had an edit feature then there would be no need to post so many
time a person could easily just edit there post with a remark used below: ORANGINAL POST HERE...

Edit Option For Posts
adding an option to edit past posts (2) hi i was just wondering if you could maybe add an 'edit' button to the bottom of each post.
this would be useful, as just recently i was posting in the warcraft III topic in the gaming/rts
subforum and i forgot to say something and so had to post twice. maybe just make it so that if
someone has already posted after your post it is uneditable, but until that happens you are free to

Allow Members To Edit And Delete Posts
Make The Lives Of Us And Mods Easier (9) Ok so your happily posting and you hit the post button too many times because your internet is slow.
We can't delete our own posts so we have to let a mod know. Or you want to add to your post. I
personally think this is kind of a good idea because it will help the forums run more smothely if
people can edit or delete their posts. What do you guys think?....
Why Not?
Request for edit permissions (1) I know you guys kinda labelled me as a "heretic" already, but here goes. My suggestion is that all
users get EDIT permissions. I know that I've double/triple posted before, or had to post
something again to fix it, and I'm sure many other users are having the same problems. I'm
sure having the ability to edit one's posts will greatly reduce spam and overposting. I can see
no real reason why we -shouldn't- have editing permissions, since it's not likely to cause
any turmoil or chaos. So my question is, why not? Please don't flame me for makin....
An Edit Button
It would be nice. (8) I've noticed that there is no edit button for our posts, this is really frustrating if we make a
mistake with out posts and have to double post to correct it. It says in the rules that there is
one, but looking around for about 3 minuites, I cant find one. What's with that?....

(23) I think we should put back the EDIT your own post button so we can fix mistakes and the delete your
own post button just incase we double posted. This would help the admins and moderators alot.
