sometimes they have some really crazy stuff on there
i saw someone on there trying to sell a piece of toast that had the virgin mary on it (or so they said)
anyways Ebay kicks ass, you should check out some of the metal t-shirt stores they got on there im not sure if they're silk screen but they still look rad smile.gif

Someone beat her in the last second, wow that must have left bruises, poor girl laugh.gif (just pokin' fun) I recently listed two different products on Ebay but I didn't get any takers so I ended up paying a few bucks for listing. Regardless, I think Ebay is pretty cool and I bid on occasion. The last thing I won was a product that may help my window cleaning business. Most of the time I take a quick glance to see if I can get it cheaper than somewhere else.

I think bidding at the last second is the only way to go. If people all bid near the beginning or at anytime other than the final 20 seconds, the prices tend to be higher because everyone is driving up the bid. I find that jumping on something in the last second gives better results because people won't have a chance to increase their bid beyond what they have already put in.

ya that is what everyone does, or at least the frequent ebay buyers. they all wait until the last minute then thats when all the bidding goes down. I can even tell you how many times i've been out bidded in the last 25 seconds of an auction.

ya, most "veteran" ebayers put their bids in at the last second. I've actually seen an item with no bids up until the last 45 seconds where like 25 bids were put in. But, it's just like a real auction. That's what happens there too.

the problem with bidding at the last second is that you really need high speed internet. You can't possibly do it with dial up or a similarly slow connection. It might take you 30 seconds just to load the confirmation page and by then the auction is over.

One of my pals got cheated very badly by the paypal - ebay system. Looking at him, I think it is better I step out of it. www.paypalsucks.com => Go to this site and read some facts.

you only really have to worry about paypal if you are selling things on ebay. I only buy stuff off there. My paypal account simply has a credit card attached (which has a very low limit). If I ever get into trouble, and by trouble I mean being cheated, I simply cancel the card and report the scam or fraud to the credit card company. The credit card company will not make you pay.

Also, some advice to paypal users. Don't attach a bank account to your paypal account because they have been known to take funds from your account without notice or your approval. They do this for charge backs.

On a credit card they can't do that. If they do take funds off your credit card without your approval it is fraud.

I have bought two dvd box sets from ebay - I received it... And I think that before anyone buy something from ebay you should take a look at the seller's profile... There you can see if the seller is promising... every user who have bought something from a certain seller is able to leave a feedback.

We only started to have Ebay here in the Philippines last week. I think it is great! I am using a local online auction before the release of Ebay Phillippines. and there isn't much difference, except that I could search other items from other country because Ebay worlwide are connected.

But I think Ebay Philippines is useless becuase we do not have Paypal here. tongue.gif
I wanted to but some items from US but i cannot purchase it, I don't have a credit card as well. tongue.gif

I have had an ebay account for about 5 or 6 years now. I have bought and sold many things. Isold mostly pro sound equipment. But i have sold some used computer parts. I have bought all kinds of stuff from a new motherboard to "Karate Kid" parts 1-3 on vhs to a Nascar banner.

I have been looking for a dropship company that i could use to sell more but all the ones i have found charge a monthly fee and i can barely pay my rent right now. For those of you that dont know what a dropship company is heres an explanation. You sign up with the dropshipper and pick one of the products they have and you make the ebay auction for it. When the auction closes you collect the money and then you send the dropshipper thier asking price of that product and they will ship it to the auction winner and you keep the rest of the money. You dont have to keep any inventory at all . You only make the ad and collect the money from the buyer.

If you have the time and know basic HTML you can make a pretty good living selling on ebay.

Mostly good experiences, you just have to check the people's reputation, and if it's good, you can buy safely
