You might have used the wrong settings to burn the DVDs or the original DVDs are burn-protected or copy-protected.

You can try some DVD-recueing softwares. If the data can be successfully rescued, you will need to rip it off into a video file rather than keeping them in the disc as these processes takes long and you won't want to do it again just to watch a movie if its the case.

Try these recue softwares...

CDRoller 6.02
Download : http://cdroller.swmirror.com/CDRoller602.exe [Trial]
Website : http://www.cdroller.com/

IsoBuster 1.8, DVD and CD Data Recovery tool
Download : http://www.isobusterdownload.org/isobuster_all_lang.zip [Shareware]
Website : http://www.cdrecovery.net/

CD/DVD Data Recovery 1.0
Download : http://www.batchconverter.com/20325.zip [Shareware]
Website : http://www.batchconverter.com/CDDVDDataRec...oad-20325.shtml

DVD Data Rescue™ 1.2
Download : http://www.naltech.com/download/dvddr.exe [Trial]
Website : http://www.naltech.com/

DVD-X-RESCUE
Download : http://www.warezltda.com/download/nycsoftw...-DVDXRescue.zip [Demo]

Unfortunately, there is a higher percentage that your burned DVDs will go to waste.

Many modern DVD's are copyrighted, and therefore encoded. This means that DVD's are encoded on the disc and only decoded when outputted by the DVD player or drive. If you copy these discs as you would a CD, it will definitely not work.

Also, check to see if your DVD drive supports the physical type of the DVD media (DVD+R, DVD-RW, etc). It's quite possible that this is the reason you can't play the DVD's.

Lastly, if everything above is correct with no problems, you might want to try changing to a different brand of DVD discs, because some generic brand discs are quite undurable.
