It's not Frontpage's Flash-support which makes it flawed, it's the overbloated, messy code it produces that makes it flawed.

Well go to macromedia.com and download a trial version. Then go to google and search Macromedia Dreamweaver 2004 MX serial code. Look it up and put it in where it says enter serial code and you got yourself maybe the best program on the internet. It kills frontpage and fronpage does make a horrible messy code. The dreamweaver comes out nice and slick and the layer system is so great. You feel like your in control of everything!

definitly dreamweaver is the winner,it has all what a web developer dreams and the integration with the rest of macromedia software makes it simply the best, specially flash and coldfusion support. don't mess arround, macromedia is the best solution for web design and creativity

The fact that Frontpage is Microsoft... Lol jk. But seriously, Microsoft products tend to have sloppy coding. I've never used Frontpage, but I like Dreamweaver a lot.

Frontpage Vs Dreamweaver debate again! Frontapge really is quite easy to use for a beginner to HTML, and is an easy way to learn some basic Tags. Frontpage can cut back alot of work from typing cose out manually if you don't know what your doing. On the other hand dreamweaver gives you the flexibilty to do lots more with your site. It may also give you some trouble if you have no idea how to use the program to its full ability. It depends on the person, Microsoft have easy to use, slopy code, bug infected programs. Macromedia have fully featured programs giving you full control over content and is great. Enough blah blah from me...

I prefer frontpage, as i just find some of the features easy to use. I have spent longer using it, and reading about it. also, it is simialar to a lot of the microsoft office family, which i am very familiar with, so its the best for me anyway.

Dreamweaver! Frontpage is cool, easy and nice for beginners with html, or for just web designers. But I prefer dreamweaver, because of the php/asp/js scripting support, and another important thing is the FTP ultility in dreamweaver. Makes it allot easier to fastly update your site. Also makes the designing allot easier, easy select text, edit tables etc etc. So thats why, Dreamweaver - optiplex

QUOTE It depends on your requirements... If you want a kids website up and running in a day or 2, frontpage will be the best option. Do not look for dreamweaver since it requires some sort of expertise knowledge to work on.... Yeah, it depends on your requirements. If you want to make a kids website, Frontpage is the obvious choice. That said it all. Dreamweaver is the obvious choice. It's not even that hard to use, for a simple website at least. One particularly useful feature of Dreamweaver is its search function. I only just discovered this recently but found it really useful. You can actually search web files(html, php etc.) in directories. That means you can search strings through any number of html or php files simultaneously. I found this extremely useful. For those of us who arn't born with scripting brains and download php scripts, if you need to find a certain string within the folders and you're working with thousands of files, this saves you hours and hours. Dreamweavers got all sorts of great features.

I would have to go for DreamWeaver I mean Front page is good until you start using Dreamweaver, I would only recommend Front page to the beginners, after all thats how I learned making websites! Once you know what you are doing in Front Page then I think its time to move to Dreamweaver and start having fun with CSS and DIVs, since Search engines such as google only like pages with CSS and DIVs

Adobe Dreamweaver Cs3 Beta
Dreamweaver revised (4) QUOTE Adobe focused on two primary areas for enhancement: CSS and Ajax. Both are certainly
worthy of attention. CSS is one of the major pain points for Web designers, and Ajax is the latest
fad in Web development--plus Adobe has its new Spry framework for Ajax that it needs to proselytize.
However, unless you're really struggling with complex, nested, multilinked stylesheets,
specifically want to author to the Spry framework, or need better back-and-forth with Photoshop,
there probably isn't a lot here for you. As a platform for experimenting or getting star....
