| | both of them are good, but i prefer choose dreamweaver to others. but, the free editor good too. when i worked, i always use free editor to do my job. but, when you want to get more stylish and cool pages, use dreamweaver. if you like coding better than drag n drop use free editor or notepad (or something) is good for you. but, for beginner i recommend to use frontpage. yeah.. all of them are good ^^ |

I use notepad! Yeah, how lame. I have used both Microsoft Frontpage and Dreamweaver though, I'd choose Frontpage over Dreamweaver.. Mainly only because I have more experience and knowledge with / of it.

i prefer dreamweaver. why? i dunno. may b i sud ask u why u use msn/icq instead of yahoo. both of them r certainly pro softwares but it's easier in dreamweaver to put some animations like flash. i dunt like the way frontpage looks...that pale yellow though nothin to do with web designing but i kinda go with dreamweaver.

QUOTE(seven @ Dec 21 2006, 01:50 PM) I have started using Frontpage... and now I am using Dreamweaver... I think both are good... Hey don't vote like this " Both are Good" either say DREAMWEAVER or FRONTPAGE is the best choose for me please. Because no such option was there in that .

QUOTE(mrkill47 @ Jan 11 2005, 09:16 PM) i use dreamweaver MX2004.
front page is awful... i mean really awful, its utter crap, BUT its easy to use. frontpage makes building web pages as easy as creaing word docs. however, its not very standards compliant and from a professional point of view, it shouldnt be used.
if you want to be professional, use dreamweaver... its "industry standard". its what all the pro's use I guess.
there are probably some other editors out there that are just as good as DW tho. but its best to hand code your pages (i do - in DW's code view)... thats professional. as this gives you total control and its also helpful if you are using a programming language or complicated scripted language. Macromedia Dreamweaver have More Options than this 1 ! also its more easy with it, i think MX is not good for creating webs.

Dreamweaver is minimally 10 times better than Front page, but if you are good Web Programmer, only what you need is Notepad.

I use both frontpage and dreamweaver.I like frontpage because it has many templates/themes and it looks quite user friendly and easy to use,and i have been using since long time so i feel more comfortable with it,but macromedia is more powerfull in some areas like it has suppport for many languages like php, asp, also has all features of frontpage, but im new to it so doesnt find it easy to get working with it,what more i can get from dreamweaver please someone tell me,so that i can completely switch to it

A (hopefully) Simple Dreamweaver Question
(4) Hello all. I've been using Dreamweaver for a couple of months now and I'm learning as I go.
I'm pretty much totally new to making websites so I'm happy with how things are going at
the moment. I feel there is something super obvious that I can't work out how to do though.
This is my site. http://www.scottishdreamteam.trap17.com/ I'd like to be able to have like a

way it is just now means that I have to push the table and important stuff of the....

Dreamweaver, Front Page
(23) Hey guys I use dreamweaver to code my sites, I heard even though the "hardcore" people dont use it,
its at least better than front page. And what I was wondering is are there any website
building/helping tools or programs besides those two? I havent heard of any but I figured there
might be a few more. The other question I had was ive been hearing alot about CSS and layers. I
know what CSS is and have been trying to incorperate that into my site when/wherever possible
However what are layers? And can you reccomend a good book on webdesign? I dont want a "for dummi....
Cms Made Simple
A weird experience for this Mambo user (10) I came across yet another CMS called CMS Made Simple (I'll just call it CMSMS from here on). Of
course, it is free and open source, and it is very compact (its latest stable distribution is 1.89
MB zipped, Mambo's is a lot larger, like 8 or more MB proably). Any page loads quickly, and are
clutter free. Part of CMSMS's features are its templating system, which works pretty
differently. In Mambo, there are the index.php template, and its accompanying template_css.css
files. In CMSMS, there's the template (stored in the DB as far as I know), and a whole bun....
Dreamweaver
Dreamweaver's a good Webdesigning Studio (22) I recently downloaded Macromedia's Dreamweaver 8, and I can say that it is the greatest
webdesigner that the world has ever seen! The only problem is that it costs too much money in my
tastes, but otherwise it is perfect! Does anyone know of a webdesigning studio that does not
cost any money and that can be downloaded off the internet? I tried using Notepad++ (search Google,
I cannot recall the site) and it is a coder, but not a webdesign. It doesn't actually show you
what the site will end up looking like, but it shows you colour-coded codes for your sit....

various complex elements to your page without editing HTML. You can keep track of the links and
