| | I'm sure most people don't read the license agreements but I do to make sure I know what I'm agreeing to. I noticed that Antispyware can't be used on June 31, 2005. I think that what will happen is they will find out bugs from us and make a commerical version by fixing bugs we found on free software. Anyway I'll find a different spyware killer. |

I haven't downloaded Microsoft's Anti Spyware program for two reasons: 1) I don't trust Microsoft to block unused ports etc and 2) I have Norton 2004 and it is fine. I believe that what you are saying may well be true. Microsoft is trying to create a version of every piece of software on the market. The only thing they lack is image editing software. Next month a "security update" will come out rendering all other antivirus software useless and incompatible with Windows, and everyone will go out any buy Microsoft Anti Spyware and Antivirus for... £75? Or Microsoft could keep it free... there's always a first.

I think they're planning to make other beta versions. If you have installed it, in the title bar it says Microsoft Antispyware (Beta1). If you were only planning to make 1 beta you'd just call it Microsoft Antispyware (Beta). But they will still try and make money out of the completed version...

I am not going to buy Microsoft's security software because just like Windows its going to have security holes and bugs. Also, your right Microsoft may forget about money for once but I highly doubt it, but if they do I'll try their anti spyware software to see if it works.

Microsoft are bunch of people who only cares about the money. Lack of quality in products to make money. Anyways, it's ironic to not find any antispy ware detecting that Windows XP is a spyware xboxrulz

Microsoft Anti-spyware is actually quite amazing. Not surprising, seeing as it wasn't coded my Microsoft itself, but was instead purchased from a smaller company. Personally, I've never used it much. I installed it about a couple months ago but haven't bothered using it, and eventually uninstalled it. The main Anti-Spyware software that I use, is "Spybot Search & Destroy". I highly recomment it over any other alternative you have come across. Most of the benefits I've seen include, - It has an amazing interface,
- It is very easy to use,
- Has an extensive collection of optimizations and tweaks to prevent spyware from installing in the first-place,
- Updated frequently,
- and you can set it to protect your computer in real time, kind of like Norton Antivirus
It's a very advanced Anti-Spyware suite that I believe should be used by everyone that wants one. I highly recommend it. If you want to know more, go here: http://www.safer-networking.org/

They bought it from another company that doesn't surprise me at all. That is the history of Microsoft taking other people's ideas and making a profit off of them. It really gets me mad sometimes they are rich and can't make their own bug free products. Also I use Spybot Search and Destroy it really is the best there is when it comes to getting rid of spyware.

Well.. at least Microsoft Antispyware works (to some extent.. lol) My computer keeps getting adwares and such. And there's one thing that takes over my google so that all my search results come out as ads... I used the program and it does a good job of fixing that problem... but my google kepts getting taken over again and again.. So.. it only fixes the problem temporarily... But yeah... I'll try that SpyBot Search and Destroy~ hopefully it'll fix my problem pernamently.. lol

Visual Wd Is The Poorest Attempt Of Programming Yet
Microsoft has let them selves down (0) Well for starters, the installer says it all. It took me 75 mins to install and i got a 4 CPU 3.5
gHz processor, the images still have their magenta background and they look like its been drawn on
paint. You go make an application but you dicide its rubbish - so you delete it, and unlike Basic
and C# your project is still listed with no images and the link is broken, so it just wastes space.

Fed Up With Microsoft Xbox 360 And Xbox Live Account
Microsoft :( (4) I love the Xbox 360, however, I have had some disputable problems with it and with Microsoft. The
first problem I had with Microsoft was when I was banned. Now, I probably did deserve this ban,
because I was tampering with games online, and glitching, which is a way of cheating. However, I got
over this ban, and continued playing. Not long after my second problem occurred. My Xbox stopped
working, it could not read the discs any more. I called Microsoft and surprisingly to me the Xbox
was still under warranty (it was surprising because I got it refurbished off of anothe....
Microsoft
HDD Space (9) Well time for a little "venting" I think ... something that is really annoying me at the moment is
the fact that just the other day I bought a new Hard Disk Drive (HDD). I spent $105 Australian
$ on an 80GB drive ... only to install and format to get 74.53GB ... I think it is stupid that
they remove 5 1/2GB of Disk Space. It really annoys me when companys feel and do get away with
things like this. I didnt spend that amount of money to get a 74.53GB HDD ... I spent that amount
to get a 80GB HDD. Microsoft "Blah" to you.....
Microsoft Hijacked My Ie
(10) Yup - you heard it right!! Not that I have much use of that piece of trash anyways - but
Microsoft never made any attempt to make your life easy by providing you with an option to remove
IE. SO whatever other favourite browser of yours you might be using, IE will still lurk around in
some corner of your system and keep popping up (irritating to the core) windows sometimes on request
of some external application (that's another thing that eludes me - why do windows application
developers NOT resort to popping up readme's using your system default browser?....
Great One Microsoft
Thanks A F***ing Lot (14) So Hotmail now has a new password system, When changing your password it gives you a rating, weak,
medium, or STRONG. I made a 'strong' password from random letters, numbers and other
characters such as #;[{*£$ and etc. I copied the password into the clipboard, I was going to
save it into a txt file until I could remember it. But I was also browsing some other sites, So I
thought OK I'll do it in a sec. And I accidentally copied something else, erasing the password
from the clipboard, now thats probably my fault, But I just assumed I'd easily reset ....
I Hate Microsoft Word
(33) I stayed up all night yesterday to finish up my 10 page paper for philosophy. My microsoft word

it never saved when I reached my 10th page. So after I put my finishing touches my paper and was
about to save it the program froze. I mean I couldn't move the cursor I couldn't do
anything..I wasn't running any extra programs so it wasn't that prob...I stared at my screen
for a whole hour hoping it will just come back to normal and it didn't...I had to type ....
