I use download.com mainly for downloading shareware utilities like editors and things. It's a pretty good site and has a lot of files available.

Yeah, it's good for some things now, but you can't rely on it.
Well, I've never been there myself or used it, but I believe that my friend got an anti-virus program for me from there to fix my computer...
i use to use download.com a lot but i hardly use it anymore...
download.com was one of my main websites to go to when i first started using the internet, i don't use it much anymore
I like download.com for game demos and trailers and the like. For utility programs and things though, I often prefer to go to the author's own website as they will sometimes have made updates that have not yet been transferred across to download.com. i like to make sure I am current since a lot of the things I try are anti-virus programs etc. where keeping up to date is essential. download.com itself is just a handy way to find them, more like a search engine than anything else.
