| | I would say that I use it only for patches or for game demos because I can reliably get them through there rather than going to the site and having to go to fileplanet or some stuff like that where I don't have a membership. |

I like download.com for game demos and trailers and the like. For utility programs and things though, I often prefer to go to the author's own website as they will sometimes have made updates that have not yet been transferred across to download.com. i like to make sure I am current since a lot of the things I try are anti-virus programs etc. where keeping up to date is essential. download.co... read more.
i use it for anti virus software and stuff. i will usually download the trial at download.com then get a crack for it. i find download.com has a good selection of alot of recent stuff, useful patches and demos but as well has good speed for its downloads. the only thing i really dislike is the tons of adds... but i live with it.
i almost never visit download.com, even if i linked to download.com, i will close the window, if i want to search freebies software, i will search it on google and try to find any link toward personal homepage, it is usually offering free stuff.

I am a great fan of download.com. It is the best place to find the newest softwares and updates of the existing software.
I like download.com. I use it quite often when I need some program, either demo version or full version. it has been very useful to me.
is c-net and download .com the same? i think they are...but yeah i used it a couple times for games like starcraft and stuff....i have c-net secure delivery too

yea download.com has faster downrate than other web, but.. don't know why, i feel better using astalavista for cracks, patches, S/N and spyware removal, security program..

download.com was one of my main websites to go to when i first started using the internet, i don't use it much anymore

Well, I've never been there myself or used it, but I believe that my friend got an anti-virus program for me from there to fix my computer...
Yeah, it's good for some things now, but you can't rely on it.
