QUOTE Personally I think that google apps is much better as someone ahead of me said, first of all because it is supported by Google, which for many people is a reason in itself, but also becauser it's got such a huge range of features than can be added, such as mail and calendar. Also according to google, the free version is still amazing:
* Standard Edition o Free o Same storage space as regular gmail.com accounts (over 7 GiBs as of September 2008) o Text ads mandatory
* Premier Edition o 50 $USD / account / year o 25 GB space for e-mail o Text ads optional o Integrated Postini "security, compliance, policy management, and message recovery services" o Conference room/resource scheduling o 99.9% e-mail uptime guarantee o APIs for Single Sign On, etc. o 24/7 phone support o 3rd party applications and services
* Education Edition o Same as Premier Edition except for: o Free for "accredited not-for-profit K-12 schools, colleges, and universities" o No uptime guarantee o No integrated Postini services o Google may serve ads to accounts not associated with enrolled students, non-profit staff or volunteers [8] o Same storage space as regular gmail.com accounts (over 7 GiBs as of September 2008) [1]
So it's a much more profitable pick. I too am using a personal edition and is much satisfied with the quality of service google provides...... Can any 1 tell me i registered the personal edition with only 500 e-mails but now i need more can some 1 tell me how to increase this no..

What Messenger/email Service Do You Use?
(90) I went with gmail when the hype began. Nice inbox size, and it's brilliant if all you want is a
good email service. However, I switched back to hotmail simply because of it's MSN
compatibility. MSN is still the best instant messenger, IMO. Highly doubt I'll be using whatever
gmail is gonna come up with. MSN has climbed so high above the other clients that I believe it
won't go down without a fight Anyhoo, what does everyone else use? Hotmail? Yahoo? Gmail? ISP
email? Or what IM client? MSN? AIM? Waiting for gmail messenger? Post away. ....
How Companies Set Up Email Services ?
(2) I know im stupid..but i was just wondering , how the companies set up the email services ? I mean
which programming languages they do require ? For instance , Yahoo , Hotmail , Gmail ? Is it
possible to make a complete email system only by PHP/mysql ... No ?? okay , what else more they use
?? And same thing about search engines ??? How do they collect the data ? and which language they
do use ? I was just wondering about it , so i asked , it doesnt mean that im going to start email
service or search engine on trap17 hosting or any other hosting , /cool.gif" style="v....
Email/file Encryption
nothing to hide? (3) According to a recently passed german law and a EU guideline, phone companies have to store all
connection data (who called who and how long did the call take), ISPs are supposed to store who had
which IP and browsed which sites for 2 years, short messages and eMails have to be stored for 6
months. At this time, only law enforcement agencies are supposed to be able to access these data
sets in severe cases like when they suspect someone to be a terrorist, whatever that means these
days. well, this is going to be a huge data pool and huge amounts of data attract people w....
How Much You Use From Your Email?
(35) Email providers are challenging each others on how much space they provide, but I don't think we
used the total amount of space they offered, not me at-least, so is the space an important thing
that makes you choose one provider and leave another? and what if we all used all the space they
offer for each one of us, will they have enough space for us? or they will stop the war? for me, I
am using 4% from yahoo account and the same for hotmail, and less than 1% from gmail....
