That's a A name record "*" pointed to the host ip. For example, the Zone record could look like this:
* 14400 in A 69.50.188.18
I think that it can forward all subdomain of "reurl.com" to my home page. It will be very useful for me. Besides this is a only way for the purpose. |

My request for host account has been approved. In it I asked for a sub-domain. I have not yet
created my hosting account. Now I have bought a top level domain. Can I use that Domain Name
instead of the sub-domain I requested in my account creation process? Or do I have to first use
the sub-domain and then use the 'domain changing process' to change it to my new domain? ....

I have a sub-domain blah.blah.blah through DynDNS.com, but not www.blah.blah. Well I could set the
*.blah.blah.blah wild card, but then I'd have www.my.domain.name (with 3 periods...), is it
possible I can host the domain without using the www. in front? Or do I use the domain.com (which
isn't mine) and in my configuration here on trap17, add the subdomain as a virtual host? I'm
confused. I click on Create a Hosting Account and I get a page to enter my domain details and a
username & password to use. Well when I applied for hosting priviledges, does the ....

Hey I just got the free domain name recently and I cant figure out how to get it working. I've
never had a domain name before and cant find any info anywhere sorry. I posted on the free domain

Please, may someone please change my domain name from 'miscellaneous.com' to
'miscellaneous.trap17.com'? Because I was confused about the whole domain/sub-forum things,
and I picked miscellaneous.com. I didn't buy the domain, so.. It was a mistake. Can someone

Just recently i bough my 10 credit hosting package. and when completing the registration i put it to
be on my own domain (chipmunkinc.net) and doing so, i cannot log into my cpanel, look at the picture
to see why. so i was wondering if out of the kindness of someones heart i could see if it would work
on a trap17 sub-domain. (chipmunkinc.trap17.com) if not then thats fine ill just got find somewhere
else to be!....
