What would be the reasoning behind faking dinosaurs? Its not like there being no dinosaurs would seriously affect mankind in any way (except for the non-existance of paleontology). That would be a waste of money and time for little to no gain.

some loser scientist with really bad eyesight saw a lizard upclose (or was it a croc or gator?) well, that's how the dinosaur legends all started. That is according to my grandma. Trust me, she's hardly ever wrong.

So, you're telling me that scientists all over the world took this one man's word for it that he saw a dinosaur. First of all, it is common knowledge that dinosaurs are extinct (so him seeing one would not make sense, as scientists would not be digging for fossils if they were alive). Second, dinosaurs (in fact or fiction) did not exist until fossils were discovered of them, so there are no "legends". People didn't just make this stuff up.

Yes different people have got different opinions about dinosaurs and some say they never existed..its their idea.

But I think Dinosaurs existed millions of years ago,though I haven't seen them but I believe in them.They vanished when a huge meteorite struck the earths surface,due to which there was a huge destruction.

But I think whatever happened was good as if dinosaurs haven't died then we couldn't have been on this planet earth ..though I feel sorry for them too.

I can't think of a reason why the government would do something like that. That too all the world governments together.


That topic was worth discussing like the sucking of light topic, it was just discussion as to what would happen. This was plain rubbish.


Paleontology would still exist, if not Dinosaurs, there are many other extinct animal fossils to be studied.


No scientist ever saw a Dinosaur. And there was never a legend, unlike the legend of Dragons and I was watching this show some years back where they showed that some new fossils discovered might just be Dragons.


Approximately 65 million years. Their extinction is still debatable though. :\

Ok, people let's not go too far with this. I started this topic just for good fun. There are a lot of theories regarding our universe and no one can say this particular idea is the one that holds credit. Any type of theory, no matter how absurd it is, should not be rejected without a second glance, but rather ooked into from a rational point of view. for instance, no human being's actually seen a dinosaur, right? And no one's actually nuked the sun. So these are just theories, without proof. But they exercise your imagination and creativity, so that's why they are worth discussing.

What makes you think this is real. You have an idea now research it form as many different views as you can, write a hypothesis and then I'll give it a look at.

Right now i believe that you must be joking to put forward such a ridulous and ludicrous scandal of an idea. Paleontologists, innocent paleontologists (if they are innocent) could be very offended by your ideas. And as we all know in this day and age offending any group of people is the worst possible thing you could ever ever do.

In some countries, children are taught that dinosaurs still do exist, and that they were created by the Americans to destroy them. So maybe there is something behind this theory, and something behind this propaganda.
