This is how I would do it. There might be a proper function that does it but this method works perfectly well. HTML <script type="text/javascript">

ok I have javascript in a loop and the variables for each loop is clashing.eg first loop var countdown = "2" first loop second loop var countdown = "5" second loop Is there any way in javascript to do this x=0 first loop x++ varcountown x = 1 first loop second loop x++ varcountown x = 5 second loop the x results the variable name to be listed varcountown1 varcountown2 varcountown3 varcountown4 varcountown5 so they dont clash is this possible? electriic ink?

I am fairy sure the answer is no. Someone else might be able to say though; I don't know lots about Javascript.

I dont really understand what are you trying to do but its possible that you give each variable a different name so that they dont clash and product different values for different var..

Perhaps you could describe what you are trying to do so we can understand the logic you are trying to get behind by using 2 loops. I don't really understand why you are using 2 loops to do a countdown.

If it is in a PHP loop you can still change the name of the Variables. I did not get the reason why cant you have different names for the variables. Also if you dont want them to clash put / insert them in a array and then check if the value exists or not in the array. If it does then do something and change the value that will now be inserted. If it does not then insert it making things unique.

I just made this little html file and I used javascript to show which arrows you're pressing. It
just says the key code, but only for the arrows, so it will say "37, 38, 39, 40" if you're
pushing all the arrows. When you let go of the arrows, it won't show that value. It works
perfectly in Firefox, but I can't get it to run in Internet Explorer. The little notification

Hello all, thought maybe I could get a little help with a problem I was having with some Javascript
on this forum. I recently posted about adding some type of script to my page that calculated a
customers custom computer system price by assigning each form option a dollar value. I have done so,
with a script that seems like it would work, but am having some problems. I feel that I have the
script correctly in place, but when the user selects their computer options a total of "NaN" returns
