Desgin Websites For Multiple Browsers

I know most people use IE but is there a way to browse your website as if it were other versions of IE or even other browsers (Netscape, Opera, Firefox, etc.). I want know how I can test a website for those browsers and older versions of IE.

Obviously one way is to downlaod all the browsers and test that way but it is something I am trying to avoid. Plus, I can't test older versions of IE.

Any suggestions?

There is currently no super-browser that can emulate all the quirks and issues of other main browsers.
Your simplest solution would be to actually install the browsers you find people using on your site. If you need a separate computer for all that, try asking someone who works at a big company if they have access to discarded company computers - often these make great testing platforms, routers, or servers.

For your reference you can install multiple versions of Internet Explorer on the same computer: see this link to skyzyx.com's downloads page for more information.
Remember that the annoyance users get from using outdated or broken browsers is not seeing the Web in its full glory, and this annoyance can push them towards a better browser. Consider putting a conditionally visible note on your site's main page encouraging visitors to get a better browser.

What about dreamweaver? I worked some stuff with dw, and there is a built in some kind of code compatibility checker for various browsers... Is that not good emulation? Any experiences on that?

Hey what do you think is the best way to code a site to appear correctly on multiple browsers?
I've been thinking about useing Javascript or think of something in PHP. Also would it be

How do you combine multiple mysql databases into one database? I was thinking thta soem servers
restrict you to one to five mysql databases. If I have a dynamic part of a table on my site, I
would use one database for that. For every table of dynamic information, I use one database. Can I
streamline what I am doing and combine all of my databases into one? I could make multipple tables
