I have been wondering - it will be really nice if we could have a spellcheck feature on these forums. I'd personally like to quickly spell check my posts before sending them in. I know that the "Preview" feature should suffice, and anyone really obsessed with spellchecking should probably copy his(/her) post on a text editor and check it there. However, this is a facility I've been used to on a few other forums, and it'll be a nice add-on. It would probably help members whose first language is not English as well. I am not too sure about this one, but I'd like to see the Creativity Forums split into two subforums, if that is not too much trouble - personal and non-personal. I find that personal poetry is generally very different from poetry you want to get published, and I would react differently to a poem if it was written for publication. If there are enough people here who want professional feedback and aim to make a beginning in the lit scene out there, perhaps they deserve a corner of their own? If such a corner does come up, I can promise to contribute there. (For those who believe that so-called 'professional' poetry has its roots in personal feelings, I must mention that I agree completely. However, I wouldn't react to a personal poem by saying 'the meter is shaky in S5,L2 please change it to...'. For poetry that wants publication, certain technical points need to be noted. Which is why I'd probably be happy if it was separated from personal poetry.) Finally, the Graphics and Animations section might have a section for the Gimp. I'm sure it's a professional image editor plenty of people use. Just a thought. Cheers! PS: By the way, if anyone is wondering if I have any credits to go by in the context of literary creativity, then this may be relevant. But I can only promise to contribute, and I certainly do not claim to be a professional. Only a beginner trying/hoping to help

Good suggestions. The spellcheck thing might be a little hard to make, but I have never been on the admin side of Invision Power Board, so I don't really know what IPB is capable of doing in terms of creating your own stuff for it. You can alternatively check your spelling errors by copying your entire post into Microsoft Word before posting, and checking it that way. It might be a hassle to open up an application, but it can make posts a bit more professional looking.

Yes, I think I will just use an application to do the spell checking - it's just that I'm on Linux and Open Office can be... a little tiresome sometimes. Not a big deal, of course phpBB does have a spellcheck MOD, but I don't quite know about ipb either. *mumbles in an afterthoughtish way* A decent feature to have, though.

I was weeding through the tutorials trying to find more CSS stuff, and I was just wondering if we
could group the tutorials by content. I think there are 11+ pages of tutorials, and it would really
save time if they were categorized. Since mods have to review the tutorials anyways, they can also
make sure that the tutorials are placed in the correct category....

Couple Of Ideas For Sub-forums
- (2)
Well I have a couple of new forum ideas for here... First is InvisionFree Skinning. Since
Invisionfree is IPB but just a way older version, I think it would be nice for a section of
invisionfree skinning. This would be a great addition to the graphics community, and it might just
boost up activity considering that there could be a database, and since invisionfree has over 1
million users using it, then it would be intresting to have rare skins here. Then people would be
able to critique another part of skinning. I'd be willing to chip in a few tutorials, and things...
Additional "life Talk" Subforums

First of all, thank you for incorporating a "Home and Garden" section! This is a very timely
inclusion considering we're springing into Spring. I've mentioned this before, but I
probably should have been more specific. I haven't seen a specific Religion or
Philosophy/Spirituality sub-forum anywhere. I think someone suggested posting such content under
"Health & Fitness," but I think these topics, especially Religion, would garner greater interest
under the "Life Talk" forum. Indeed, I noticed a debate a recent debate on God had large enough
input to warr...
Suggestions For Trap17 Account Management Center

I know that my suggestions are purely unnecessary, they may improve the image of the Hosting account
Center (all of the pages under http://www.trap17.com/process) . I thought that a few changes could
be made to the design and function of those pages: -Provide a login common to all pages - instead of
typing your username and password at each task page, have users log in upon the access of
http://www.trap17.com/process/ , and present a task list. -Beautify the pages a wee bit - add a bit
of layout, and add some design elements - even just a banner similar to the one at t...

Topic Subscription Suggestions

I don't know about other people, but when i choose to subscribe to a topic I always choose the
same exact method of notification (in my case, none at all). It'd be rather nice to have an
option to set a predefined choice in order to cut down on all the needless repitition. Certainly not
a huge problem, but it'd be nice. It'd also be nice if the topics you subscribed to were
listed on the mainpage of the control panel. It already lists recently viewed posts (which is kinda
pointless in my humble opinion), so why not add that as well? Thankyou for you...
Trap17 Suggestions
- a button and topsites 4 trap17 members (5)
I have some good Ideas. I think we should have a button on the top of the forums that brings you
back to the forum index. Also, I think we should have a topsites list for trap17. There are many
good free ones out there, and I think it would be amazing. Think of how we would think of other
members? Joining would be optional. It would iclude the top 10 and baners for them in a nice little
table, and the rest can upload or provide an icon to the left if they are in the top 50, and the
rest are shown on a seperate page. What do you guys think of these ideas?...
Compute's Suggestions

I was just wondering why is posting is the only way to get credits. Wouldn't it be nice if we
could get points by doing other things. For example recommending people gives you like 10 points or
maybe making a chat room (not shout box) and in that chat room ever time you say something you can
get for example .1-.5 credits, Trap17 can also place ads on hat chatroom to make money of it. I
think that building a chatroom will make getting points fun and not just annoying. I'm not
complaining and saying its to hard to get credits I would just like a fresh new way to ...
Credits Per Month?
- A suggestions to ensure activity! (10)
My name is Darker333 and this is my first Suggestion post! Well, if you want to ENSURE
activity, then my suggestion is to really set up a meter that says how many credits you need to
avoid a certain day period before your account expires. Now, let's look at this: Current after
Package 2: 21.6 Credits -.something per day. To keep your account alive, you need to stay away
from the 0 by posting and when you post a lot of a long time the counter will stop going down,
depending on Admins approval. When the counter reaches 0.. BAM, you will get a 3-5 day notice sa...
Suggestions For Computing Host

I can't reply in the announcement section and didn't see a topic so I am making this one.
Computing host suggestions: (1) Too many words on the index page. I can't be bothered to sift
through all that text. - No need to list ALL features of the hosting package. Just pick say the top
10 features that people care about. Put the details on the page with more information/comparison
page. - Emphasize your selling features. Is your strategy to be cheap and reliable? If so,
emphasize your 30 day money back guarentee and uptime information. Also, the pricing ...
Cpanel

Hey Guys, Just a few suggestions on/for Cpanel. How about a.. Improved search function- eg. search
for my posts by, date(s), topic, forum etc. from inside Cpanel. I've tried searching on my
username but it only returns the posts where I started the thread/topic -NOT any posts where I added
replys to other topics/posts. Hope this is clear. Getting my last 10 posts thru "mY Assistant" is
good but I can see the need for improved searching as the posts pile up. Good so as not to have to
remember so much where you've been etc. This would be good for the site also, a...
Forum Suggestions

Well I just thought of something...the message board is a little bare at the moment. Shouldn't
the mods add a few more to cover other topics, especially in the Life category, say include one for
Sports, Media, Humor, even a Debates section where we can discuss important issues. The point here
being that with more topics, users will stay longer and not be stymied by lack of things to discuss.
Of course post count will be an issue, but in the long run we can help our webhost coz there's a
bigger chance of us right? /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" em...
